The good old WHITESNAKE was the pinnacle of British blues rock. The official M3 video, which inherited that tradition, will be released. Bernie Marsden, Mickey Moody, and Neil Murray were the key members of WHITESNAKE, the so-called "classic snakes" of the blues rock era. These three were working on a project to revive the old White Snakes from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. They changed the singer and name to THE SNAKES and COMPANY OF SNAKES, but they consistently played the classic snakes. M3, which takes the initials of Marsden, Moody, and Murray, is their last project. First, let's look back on their official works and the changes in their famous singers. [THE SNAKES (1998-1999)] ● Studio album "ONCE BITTEN (1998)" ● Live album "LIVE IN EUROPE (1998)" Vo: Jorn Lande [THE COMPANY OF SNAKES (1999-2002)] ● Live DVD "LIVE AT ABBEY ROAD (2000)" Vo: Robert Hart ● Live album "HERE THEY GO AGAIN (2001)" ● Studio album "BURST THE BUBBLE (2002)" Vo: Stefan Berggren (Note: Gary Barden was also in the band) [M3 (2003-2006)] ● Live album "CLASSIC SNAKE LIVE (2003)" Vo: Tony Martin ● Live DVD "ROUGH AN' READY (2004)" ← *This work Vo: Stefan Berggren & Doogie White Speaking of M3, the live album "CLASSIC SNAKE LIVE" sung by former BLACK SABBATH member Tony Martin is also famous, but this work is the video version that appeared the following year. This is a multi-camera pro shot of SNAKES IN PARADISE's famous singer: Stefan Berggren and former RAINBOW member Doogie White sharing the microphone. This video work became a hot topic among fans who love classic snake, but it quickly went out of print. It is now difficult to obtain. However, the reason for this situation is only the name value. (Naturally) the completely official level of visual beauty and sound are the best, and above all, the juicy White Snake masterpieces played by the three original members are full of authenticity. That is what revives "that era" more directly than the restarted WHITESNAKE led by David Coverdale. Another point of this work is the singing voices of singers with completely different personalities. Let's summarize the three singers' singing here. ● Stefan Berggren (5 songs) Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues, Don't Break My Heart Again, Slow An' Easy, Ready An' Willing, Fool For Your Loving ● Dougie White (4 songs) Lonely Days, Lonely Nights, Hit An' Run, Trouble, Crying In The Rain ● Bernie Marsden (1 song) Ain't Gonna Cry No More ● Stefan & Dougie duet (2 songs) Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City, Here I Go Again ... and so on. The stage where the three singers share the microphone is like a white snake version of MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST, but Stefan, who sings the most, is Bakatakumi. He is the least well-known singer in the history of the band, but his wet and deep singing voice fits perfectly with classic snake. He doesn't look like Coverdale as much as Jorn Lande, but because of that, there is no sense of impersonation, and you can enjoy the quality of the songs and the quality of his voice without being distracted by "how similar" he is. Furthermore, Stefan's stage performance is also cool. He doesn't go wild like Coverdale did when he was young, but the sight of him clad in denim from head to toe, clutching the microphone and squeezing out a rich, beautiful voice is reminiscent of Paul Rodgers. It's even more bluesy than WHITESNAKE at the time. In contrast to Stefan's smoky silver, Dougie has a rock feel to him. At the time, he was a member of Yngwie's band, but he also appears as a guest on this album. Dougie's singing voice and stage performance are fiercely hot. His voice quality doesn't feel bluesy, so it's more power than depth. His action, which was said to be "Bruce Dickinson-like," is still alive and well, and he sings classic Snake masterpieces with passion. Dougie has performed with many famous guitarists, but with this work he became the only singer to sing a famous song backed by the originators of both RAINBOW and WHITESNAKE. M3 was even said to be "more authentic than the original Coverdale". This is the official pro shot. Unfortunately, the reprint project has been on hiatus for a long time, and now we can't enjoy "that white snake" so straightforwardly. I want them to revive it again, whether it's THE SNAKES or M3. I wish they would show this stage in Japan too... Such feelings are also boiling up in the wonderful world of classic snake. Live at Mechanics, Burnley, UK June 2004 PRO-SHOT (101:37) 1. Intro 2.
