In 1984, Linda Ronstadt embarked on a world tour with her jazz standard cover album "WHAT'S NEW," which marked her first step from her rock singer roots to maturity. This bold change in direction was warmly received by fans at the time, and the album was a huge hit. However, compared to her peak years in the mid-1970s to early 1980s, this period is often overlooked. However, it is undoubtedly a time when she produced great albums and tours, and the shocking audience album "BUDOKAN 1984" once again conveyed her amazing singing skills during this period. Linda then came to Japan in the spring, and following the huge success of "WHAT'S NEW," she also toured the United States. The first of these was the live video "IN CONCERT-WHAT'S NEW," which was filmed in Santa Barbara before her Japan tour. The tour continued intermittently after that, but from July to September, she was scheduled to tour the entire United States. However, the sound sources and images from the tour, such as the previous live video and the masterpiece "BUDOKAN 1984", were limited to the first half of the year. This time, the show held at Radio City Music Hall in September was released with the best audience. This is outstanding sound quality, but it is the "Two Of Us" team, who continues to unearth valuable audiences of 80's live performances, who captured the precious time with great sound quality. "Two Of Us" has always released great sound quality live recordings of the Eighties, so this time the quality is amazing. The sound image is basically on, but Linda's singing voice is close to it. The balance of her singing voice is so good that you might mistake it for a sound board. Yes, the quality surpasses that of the masterpiece "BUDOKAN 1984". Since "WHAT'S NEW" was a big hit, the audience was not at all confused by Linda's standard singing heard here, and rather they were very excited from the opening. The heat was extraordinary, especially since it was held at the historic venue of Radio City Music Hall. Linda's transition from a rock singer to an adult singer singing jazz standards went particularly well, and the tour she undertook was a success, so her singing here was impressive. The set list itself is exactly the same as "BUDOKAN 1984," but it was six months after the recording of the previous live video, and she was full of confidence from the tours she had been on. After all, it is an audience recording with the highest level of sound quality, so you can really feel her brilliant performance. If "BUDOKAN 1984" represents the first half of her 1984 live performances, this is a shocking discovery that represents the second half. Enjoy Linda's singing voice accompanied by a big band. The sound quality is amazing. Radio City Music Hall, New York City, NY, USA 25th September 1983 TRULY PERFECT SOUND Disc 1 (42:13) 1. I've Got a Crush on You 2. What's New 3. Crazy He Calls Me 4.
