One year has passed since my first solo visit to Japan last year. Liam Gallagher returns to Japan for a full-fledged Japan tour. The latest live album will be released. This work includes the “September 13, 2018: Nippon Budokan” performance. This is the best audience recording. First, let's check the show's position from the date of the first solo tour. ・September 13th: Nippon Budokan [This work] ・September 17th: Toyota Civic Cultural Center ・September 19th: ZEPP Osaka Bayside ・September 20th: ZEPP Osaka Bayside A total of 4 performances. The Nippon Budokan performance was the highlight of the first day. This work is a live album that completely records that night. It is an audience recording published online, but this is also amazing. Although it picks up a slight amount of venue acoustics, the core that reaches straight and thick and the fine details are on par with soundboard recording. The acoustics of the venue were not cloudy or muddy at all, and only brightened up the bare core. Without compromising sound quality at all, Liam's singing voice reaches every corner of the venue, creating a delicious sense of scale. It's like a soundboard, but it's richer than a soundboard, and it's too good for the audience...it's a sample of such a great recording. What is depicted in its exquisite quality is Liam's passionate performance, who has built a solid style as a solo singer. Basically, the composition was similar to last year's "SONIC MANIA/SUMMER SONIC OSAKA"...I thought that was not the case. The opening with "Rock 'n' Roll Star" and "Morning Glory" and the opening with four consecutive hits from "AS YOU WERE" are common, but what happens after that is different. Songs that were not played last year were played one after another, and most of them were OASIS numbers! To list a few... "Some Might Say," "Champagne Supernova," "Whatever," "Supersonic," and "Cigarettes & Alcohol." Furthermore, famous songs that could not be heard last year, such as BEADY EYE's "Soul Love" and solo "I've All I Need", will be packed together and rushed at once. Liam who sings such a set is also in great condition! It seems that Liam himself was not convinced in Osaka, but at Nippon Budokan, there was no hint of that. Opening with an extremely thick singing voice that roars freely, "Wall Of Glass" which is sung with a bang, "For What It's Worth" which has a wonderful singalong, "Champagne Supernova" where you can hear the perfect singing with just the piano in the background, high notes. “Supersonic” was also brilliantly decided, etc. Vocalization, which is rare even in recent years, is in full swing. You can fully enjoy the passionate singing that exudes confidence as a solo singer. With the huge success of his album ``AS YOU WERE'' and his subsequent world tour, Liam became independent as a solo singer. It is said that he will complete his second solo album as early as the end of this year, and his spirit is burning brightly. This is a masterpiece of a live album vacuum-packed in an octagonal space filled with that passion and sense of fulfillment. “2018” was truly a new chapter and a year of breakthrough. A piece that symbolizes the year and is suitable for savoring the “now”. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 13th September 2018 PERFECT SOUND (79:36) 1.
