Liam Gallagher has been touring since last year, following the huge success of his first solo album "AS YOU WERE" after the breakup of Oasis. In March, he participated in the South American version of the famous festival "Lollapalooza". However, the tour, which had been well received, was interrupted by a hard schedule, and on March 18th in Chile, he complained of vocal problems and sang only four songs from the start of the show, which was cut short. Last month's South American version of Lollapalooza aired multiple shows, and this release includes not only the Chilean stage in question, but also the footage broadcast before and after it, all in perfect quality, making it a luxurious pro-shot video package. The first disc is the performance in Argentina on the 17th. Liam is captured on stage with full spirit, but the poor vocal range, which seems to be due to the lung infection he had before the South American tour, which was announced during the Chile incident, gradually becomes apparent. This was made clear in "For What It's Worth," one of the signature songs from "As You Were." Liam looked really distressed here, and his condition was clearly foreshadowed by the next day. However, to his surprise, he managed to finish singing "Some Might Say." Even during the Oasis era, this song was not sung live starting in 2000, and when they came back in 2002, it was sung in a lower key. However, from last fall's tour, they surprised fans all over the world by reviving the repertoire in the original key. For the reasons mentioned above, Liam was unable to sing this song at all in the later Oasis years from 2005 to 2009, but now he does his best to sing it to the end. It's not just an Oasis number that fans will love, but Liam himself may want to show his confidence that his voice has recovered so far. What's even more amazing about the live video from that day is the enthusiastic excitement that is typical of South American audiences. It was overwhelming from the beginning of the live, so much so that Liam praised them saying, "You guys are the best audience in the universe." Supported by such excitement, Liam, who was obviously not in tune with his voice, noticed his own tone of voice and somehow managed to finish the live without getting discouraged. The finale number, "Live Forever," was originally performed with a simple atmosphere of acoustic guitar and percussion at the Japan tour last year, but since the beginning of this year, the arrangement has changed to one where the guitarist switched to electric guitar. This arrangement looks better on stage. Moreover, Liam's passionate singing here is wonderful, and he sang without paying any attention to the simple mistake of the guitarist playing the wrong chord in the middle. The second photo is from the Brazil performance, which took place one week after the Chilean fiasco. On this day, Liam, in a good mood, jumped into the stage of the Killers, who were the final act, which caused a stir, and it was no wonder, as he put on a performance on his own stage that was incomparable to those in Argentina and Chile. Liam's voice is in top form from the opening "Rock 'n' Roll Star", and "For What It's Worth", which was painful in Argentina, is a world apart. The solo tour that began last year has a big appeal in that the set list changes from time to time, and some of the songs from "AS YOU WERE" that were played at the time of the Hamburg performance in September, which we previously released as a gift, have now been replaced by Oasis numbers such as "Some Might Say". Furthermore, songs such as "Eh La" and "Chinatown", which were played at the Japan performance before the album release, had disappeared at the time of Hamburg. Now the set list of the Japan performance was a very valuable composition, but here in Brazil, "You Better Run" and Oasis' "Slide Away" were cut, and instead "I Get By" from "AS YOU WERE" was played, which is also attractive. As for the stage of this day, Liam was in top form throughout the whole performance, so there is no doubt that it will become a standard video of the solo stage in 2018. Liam's voice had become quite distorted on stage in 2005 during the Oasis era, but it somehow managed to hold on at the end of Oasis in 2009, and this album captures the further evolution of his singing voice, which made a comeback with Beady Eye. To back this up, many testimonies were heard during last year's Japan tour that "his voice was better than in the later Oasis days." The second disc contains the Chile performance in question. His performance doesn't seem to be much different from his performance in Argentina right after the start of the show, but it is clear that he suddenly became unwell when he reached "Wall of Glass." Liam had a history of cutting the show short after 20 minutes at the original Lollapalooza in August last year, but unlike that time, he stopped singing halfway through and retreated, but after the performance was over he reappeared and apologised, saying, "My voice is not in good condition and I can't sing. I'm sorry, but I can't continue and waste your time any more," and left the stage. Even in Brazil, where he is the main star, he once again explained the Chilean incident by saying "I'm sorry" at the beginning of the show, and Liam has really grown up (laughs). That's why he regained his health in Brazil and got his spirit back, which led to such a great performance. This is a great set of crystal clear professional shots that capture Liam in three different conditions: Argentina, where he is in a bad mood, Chile, where he is in a terrible mood, and Brazil, where he is singing well after recovering. As a band led by a singer, Liam's current performance is the best song-mono rock that you can watch all at once, with no interplay or solos between band members, even more so than in Beady Eye. At the same time, the charm of his live performance, which still practices the fun of a live performance where the atmosphere changes depending on the day, is packed in abundance.
