More than five years have passed in the blink of an eye, and Liam Gallagher in 2018 is a nostalgic memory. He was very active in live performances with his latest album at the time, "AS YOU WERE," and was also active in appearing at various festivals. As a result, many professional shots were produced, but there were surprisingly few items among them, and the 2018 festival footage that was overlooked now was the BBC-sponsored event "THE BIGGEST WEEKEND" held at Coventry Wee Memorial Park in May. The footage was broadcast on BBC, and this release captures it in perfect image quality. The image quality is ultra-clear. However, the footage has not been uploaded to YouTube (and even if it was, it would probably be deleted), which is probably why it was overlooked. Liam was in top form that day, and he seemed to be in high spirits from the opening "Rock'n' Roll Star." Since it was an event hosted by BBC and was being broadcast, he even got involved with the station's camera. More than this heartwarming scene, the straight rock sound that Liam showed in 2018, which drifts from the entire video, is nostalgic now. Since Liam has continued to evolve since then, with the pop-sounding "WHY ME? WHY NOT" and the mature "C'MON YOU KNOW", this straight rock sound unique to 2018 seems nostalgic yet fresh. The appeal of this tour was that it included a large number of Oasis numbers. Even during his Oasis days, he sometimes couldn't sing when he was not in good shape, and I was really surprised to see him singing "Some Might Say" in the original key, which was sung in a lowered key arrangement in 2002. Rather, this scene where he sings this song powerfully in the original key is a sign of how well Liam was doing that day. The fact that it captures Liam in such good shape is a very big attraction of this video. And the fact that May 2018 was mainly festival appearances rather than a regular tour and the basic stage time was short was undoubtedly a good thing for Liam's condition. The simple arrangement of "Live Forever" sung at the finale is also nostalgic now, and it is even moving to know that Liam's good form was maintained until the end. As I said at the beginning, it is not available on YouTube now (there is only a video taken from the audience on the same day), but it is the best professional shot video that shows the best day with such a fulfilling stage in the best quality.
