"Legends" is a one-off fusion unit that Clapton joined at the request of Steve Gadd in the summer of 1997 while he was working on the album "Pilgrim". The members of the unit were Gadd, David Sanborn (sax), Marcus Miller (bass), and Joe Sample (piano), all top-class jazzmen. This title is a full recording of the performance at the festival held at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen on July 9th of the same year, which was a limited-time performance for only two weeks, using two types of audience footage and a multi-smella specification for 1 hour and 41 minutes. This is a multi-angle reproduction of the live performance on that day, mainly using footage from a video camera fixed on a tripod from the front of the outdoor stage, and also incorporating close-up footage from another angle. Incidentally, while there are official footage of the "Montreux Jazz Festival" on the first day of the tour and the "North Sea Jazz Festival" held in the Netherlands, this is probably the only audience footage. The set was almost the same as at other festivals, and there were some scenes that could only be seen here, such as the performance of "Going Down Slow," which would later be included in "Pilgrim," in the same arrangement as the album, the outstanding performances of the jazzmen on the blues "Third Degree" and "Every Day I Have The Blues," and Marcus Miller's clarinet accompaniment on the vocal number "Layla." After this, Clapton participated in Marcus' album, and Sample participated in the next Japan tour, and new developments were developed with this unit, so this is a must-see item for fans as a valuable record of the few live videos.
