The Earl's Court Show, which was held five times from May 17th, was not intended to be a repeat of the spring American tour. Initially, the band's second American tour in 1975 was scheduled to begin in August following Earl's Court in May, and it is said that a third tour to Japan was also being considered. In the end, it ended up being a phantom due to a traffic accident at the plant, but as you can see from that schedule, the series of Earls Court shows was the next step in ZEP Live 75 years. Because the first American tour was so intense, it gave the illusion that ZEP was doing energetic live activities that year, but the American tour from January to March (before that) (Several gigs in Europe) and the Earl's Court Show were all activities in the first half of the year, and due to the plant accident, live activities in the second half of the year were not realized. In fact, it can be said that the Earl's Court Show in May is the one that shines especially during this limited period. From ZEP's side, it must have been an urgent matter to hold a live show in the UK after the release of the album "PHYSICAL GRAFFITI", and this was a special show that made that happen. As Plant admitted on stage, the first two days of Earl's Court were a fumbling performance, and the second week, from May 23rd, was the actual performance. It's clearly proven. Originally, ZEP was a band that got better as they performed live, and there is no doubt that listening and comparing them is a great pleasure for enthusiasts. Of the five shows at Earl's Court, the one that stood out the most was the final day, May 25th. The band has been getting better on the 23rd and 24th, and their performance is filled with the spirit of making the final show in their home country of England the best one yet. The crisp Bonzo and Page plays that were heard the day before have been further polished and have been completed to the point where you can see Aun's breathing. For example, in the second half of “Over The Hills And Far Away”, you can clearly see Bonzo and Page playing while supporting each other in a really nice way. The momentum that was missing on the previous day is overflowing from everywhere in the performance, and it is not like either Bonzo or Page is going out of control like on the American tour. Even though both players were playing with quite a large number of sounds, they were able to catch each other's ball perfectly without letting it go idly, which is the real thrill of the final day at Earl's Court. The monaural soundboard recording of this day made such exquisite play known to maniacs. Just like the day before, it is based on the video audio of the leaked footage, but the sound quality is on a completely different level from the audience recording of the final day of Earl's Court that had been circulating until then, and it delighted enthusiasts around the world. What made me. They succeeded in giving a strong impression that ``The final day was a special show after all...''. Among ZEP enthusiasts, the Earl's Court show, which had a completely different groove than the American tour, was very popular, but it was this show that made the last day's splendor unshakable among enthusiasts. It was a soundboard recording of the day. When it comes to soundboards, plant vocals can be clearly captured. One of the characteristics of his 1975 years was the effects of a severe cold at the beginning of the American tour. As evidenced by the recently unearthed soundboard recording of the Landover performance, there was a stage in poor condition. At Earl's Court in May, symptoms that appeared to be after-effects were seen. It is a phenomenon in which the voice of the plant is easily overturned. In fact, it was noticeable during the acoustic set the day before, but this day was the last day of the tour, so there was no need to protect the voice. That's probably why, when you listen to songs such as "Sick Again" just after the live start, you can clearly hear him singing at full throttle, and during the encore, before "Heartbreaker", which was featured as a special on the final day, Bobby... You can see how he sings Darling's "Dream Lover" and the rare "D'yer Mak'er" in the middle of "Communication Breakdown" as if he were literally set free. A soundboard recording that records such a carefree performance. This also coincides with the sound source on the 24th, and has undergone a significant upgrade in both content and sound quality. This time too, maniacs will release a remastered version based on a familiar sound source. By the way, this is the equalization done by him, but the finish is quite interesting compared to the sound source released on the 24th at the same time! This takes the flat sound image that is often found in monaural video audio and transforms it into a stereo sound image. You can enjoy the effect by listening to it with headphones. Of course, just like previous items, there are no changes to the missing parts on this day, and the biggest loss on the 25th is that "Tangerine" is completely missing from the end of "No Quarter". Moreover, "Tangerine" cannot be compensated for by just another sound source with inferior sound quality, and the final stage is also adjusted by audience recording (the video of the final stage may not be left like the previous day's "Going To California"). . Therefore, from the perspective of enthusiasts, it is natural that there are some parts that are unsatisfactory, but the sound image that praises this stereo feeling is very enjoyable. The great performance and great sound source that concluded the glorious five days of Earl's Court has been reborn by the hands of maniacs!
