The legend in the history of Japanese Western music artists' performances in Japan is ZEP's first performance in Japan. Why was it so deified? It was not only because they were a group, but also because the performance was the best timing, as it was realized at the peak of all the members. Furthermore, the fact that each performance was surprising and fulfilling, with unexpected developments, was a major factor. The highlight of ZEP's first performance in Japan, which was a collection of such great performances, was the two performances in Osaka. Among them, 929 has become a classic thanks to the sound board that was supposedly recorded behind the eyes of ZEP, but as for the previous day's 928, there have been rumors of the existence of a similar sound source for a long time, and in recent years, an official sound board recording of "Black Dog" that is assumed to be owned by ZEP has been leaked, but only one type of audience recording can give a bird's-eye view of the entire show. The sound source, which should be called "source 1", and "source 2", which was unearthed in an item released in the 1990s and recorded the end of the show, despite its poor sound quality, finally revealed the full picture of the legendary first day in Osaka. However, it has not gained the popularity of 929, which is also due to the fact that no further sound sources have been discovered. However, it is still fresh in our memory that in October 2016, it was "928" that unearthed an unexpected new source. It is impossible to believe that a new source of 928 will be unearthed now after 45 years have passed... The release of "928" in 2016 literally surprised enthusiasts all over the world. The "928" source had the disadvantage that the scene where ZEP played a Beatles song for fun was not recorded, and like "source 1", the end of the show was not recorded because it was too long. Naturally, at the time of the release in 2016, it was thought that a complete version would be released using other existing sources, but it was a valuable and historical excavation that was more than enough to ignore such deficiencies. And above all, since there was a definitive version at that time such as EMPRESS VALLEY's "928 GTO", it was a release that featured only newly excavated sound sources, without relying on other sound sources to supplement it. What's more, the scene that was heard for the first time in the "928" source was so shocking. First of all, the state of the venue before ZEP's appearance was recorded for 12 minutes. In front of ZEP, who appeared in Osaka for the first time, the tension and excitement that could not be hidden were captured in detail. What shocked maniacs all over the world even more was that the long "Whole Lotta Love" of this day, which escalated as the oldies medley escalated and ended in the middle of the performance in "source 1", was completely recorded. Similarly, it was valuable to capture the complete recording of "Stairway to Heaven", which was painfully cut in "source 1", and the start of the encore scene. In this way, the fact that this was an excavation that boasted important content from the perspective of ZEP's live history led to the release in 2016 in a form that deliberately avoided fusion with other sound sources. Thanks to you, "928" was sold out in an instant due to its rarity, so naturally, there were voices saying "Next time, a full-length version combined with other sources" was made. Even so, the release of the full-length version was not planned immediately. Of course, it could have been done immediately if we had wanted to do it. However, what helped to support the CD release this time was the provision of a new cassette copy of "source 1", which is different from the one that has been around for a long time. To add insult to injury, the master cassette of "source 2", which boasts valuable content despite its poor sound quality, was also provided. For details on these, please refer to "OSAKA 1971 1ST NIGHT", which will be released at the same time, and the availability of these versions made it possible to release an upper version that is not just a full-length version of a supplementary edit. For this release, since the "928" source was a composite of audience recordings, some parts of "Since I've Been Loving You" were difficult to hear due to tape deterioration, so the edit was made to improve the ease of listening by replacing those parts with source 1. On the other hand, the value of "928" as a pure sound source specimen, including the deteriorated parts, has not faded. Of course, "source 1" was also used in the scene where the Beatles' songs were played in the middle of the show. Therefore, while the "928" source is the main source, the legendary 928 marathon show can be heard almost in full. With this edit, the only missing part left is the ending part of "Dazed And Confused". Of course, we asked for "source 2" to appear at the end of the live performance. In this way, the 928 show can now be heard almost completely. And it will definitely be a great release for those who missed out on "928", which sold out quickly at the time of release and has now become a difficult-to-obtain item. Although the sound image is farther away from "source 1", "928" has received overwhelming support from enthusiasts around the world for its very mild and warm sound quality, and its freshness that makes it hard to believe it had been buried for 45 years. The long-awaited complete edited version will be released with this famous sound source as the main source! Finally, in commemoration of this release, we will also publish information about the original cassette, which caused a bit of controversy among enthusiasts when it was first released in 2016, so please refer to it. This will solve the mystery of the cassette. ★ Source 1 compensates for the missing and deteriorated parts of the already released "928". Source 2 compensates from the second half of the last High Heel Sneakers to the end. The two compensation sound sources are upper version tape sources obtained independently. Source 2 is from the master cassette. Live at Festival Hall, Osaka, Japan 28th September 1971 (from Original Masters) Disc 1 (70:24) 1. Pre-Show 2. "Good Evening" 3. Immigrant Song 4. Heartbreaker 5.
