Following Detroit in 1975, 8? footage of the Oakland performance from the 1972 Australian tour was unearthed. As for this video, the recording time is even shorter than that of Detroit, less than 5 minutes. However, this is not to be underestimated as it has very rich content and shocking close-up footage. What surprises me most is that the throat is so close up that it almost gives the illusion that it's not just a professional shot, but a professional shot. The filming begins with an acoustic set in the middle of the show, but suddenly a close-up shot of Jonesy playing the mandolin and Plant encouraging clapping. Finally, there's a great angle of Page happily singing the chorus to "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp." As you may know if you are a fan, he shaved off the beard he had been growing since 1970 during this tour. Just the moment when Page, who is so neat and tidy, sings happily, is enough to keep you glued to the song. It is true that the image quality is dark and the recording condition is fine, but when it comes to the next “Dazed And Confused”, this time it is a close-up of Page’s Les Paul. Does this mean it's a news video or some kind of archived video? I almost get it wrong. Best of all, it even captures Bonzo's facial expressions while he was playing "Moby Dick." It's really too amazing. Even in the performance scene of "Whole Lotta Love", which was able to be seen and heard for the longest time in such a fragmented state, the appearance of Plant and Page wrapped in the fashion unique to this tour is clearly captured. Ledzepfilm's specialty is precisely synchronizing the excavated footage from this amazing angle with the audience recording from the same day, so it's easy to see even though it's fragmented. I'm often impressed by how he was able to create performance scenes from such fragmentary material. Again, the video is less than 5 minutes long. Still, if the video is so worth seeing, it is a new ZEP excavation video with a transcendental angle that is a must-see for enthusiasts. How did they get those incredible close-ups?
