The 70's 8mm archive, which has been well received with "MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 1970 8MM" and "L.A. FORUM 1977 8? UPGRADE", is a new excavation master that has been urgently released. This work contains about 23 minutes of treasure color footage. This is an 8mm film taken at the "Landbar performance on February 10, 1975". Avid collectors may remember the approximately 2 and a half minutes of "Heartbreaker" footage from the venue and date and time, but it is actually a different thing. The live itself is the same, but it is a different film taken from a completely different position. Moreover, it is a newly excavated film that boasts a length nine times that of the conventional film. The biggest feature of this film is that it captures the stage in full view. Although the slightly purple color is similar to the conventional film, the scene projected is completely different. While the conventional version was captured from the arena seats directly below the stage, this work is a bird's-eye view. According to the excavator, it was shot in a position called "Sky Suite #1 at the Capital Center," but in normal terms, it was shot from the second floor seats on the right side of the stage, looking down. Moreover, since it is a full view, you can see everything you want to see on the stage, from Plant, who is idle during the guitar solo, to the stage set with the logo shining, to the lighting system that illuminates from the wings. And above all, the length is wonderful. This is the first time that footage other than "Heartbreaker" has appeared. As you may know if you have noticed this article, 8mm film in the 1970s had a short shooting time, with a limit of a few seconds to a few tens of seconds per cut. Therefore, the standard method is to gather up small pieces of footage, infer the song being played from the content, and synchronize the sound. This work was also produced in accordance with that standard, but it became even longer because of that method. In fact, the length of the 8mm excavated this time was "14 minutes," but when compared with the audience recording on the day, it was found that the reel speed was wrong. When the speed was properly aligned and synchronized, it was "23 minutes". The Landbar performance that was revived in this way was truly moving. According to the maniacs who unearthed and released it, the reason they synchronized the audience recording instead of the sound board was because it naturally matched the scene. In fact, there is no exaggeration in that statement, and the vintage feeling of the slight hall sound and the slight sense of distance are extremely realistic. It is synchronized with a naturalness as if the 8mm cameraman had also recorded the sound. Moreover, it is stable. The close-up of the conventional version of the film was also powerful, but since this work is shot carefully in the distance, there is almost no blurring and it is very easy to see. It is also a special seat experience in the Sky Suite. Yes, this sense of experience is the life of this work. When it comes to 8mm film from the 1970s, the documentary value is often noted, but this work goes beyond that dimension and is sublimated to the feeling of being "on the scene" of the historic show. 1374 seconds of 8mm film from the 1970s, which is precious even for one second, has been newly excavated. All of this has been synchronized with the audience recordings from that time, bringing it back to life 47 years later. This is a historical masterpiece that goes beyond mere historical material and elevates it to the level of a heart-warming on-site experience. The newly excavated 8mm film was released on February 10, 1975 at the Landbar performance, and is a 23-minute shot of the second floor, completely different from the conventional version, which was 2 and a half minutes. It's a heart-warming shot that allows you to witness the scene 42 years ago from a special seat.
