Direct recording of the 1979 Knebworth Festival 2nd day performance from an independently obtained cassette master. Since there is a full set of professional shot footage and a sound board, the audience recording of this day is not talked about much these days, but enthusiasts should be aware that there are many types of high-quality audience recordings from the analog era. As you know. Among them, Audience Master used in 79 (Antrabata Reference Master) and Knebworth 1979 has recorded 146 minutes with the highest level of sound quality, and is considered the definitive AUD sound source of the day. Although the master of these two titles is the same, this edition is recorded for a total of 156 minutes, nearly 10 minutes longer, far exceeding the previous releases in terms of length of recording time. As for the long parts, most of them are cheers between songs and while waiting for the encore, so it may not have much meaning for a performance where line recording exists, but it is a piece that enthusiasts cannot ignore. I guess you can say that. Comparing these two previously released songs with this tape transfer sound source, not all of them have long titles, and some parts are shorter than others. It is assumed that this is due to the existence of multiple tapes copied from the original master, and the omission occurred during tape dubbing. (By the way, the masters we got this time were two 90-minute Maxell tapes.) The most important thing is the sound quality, but unlike previous releases with a bright tone that has been made more powerful by equalization, this work is more like a tape master. It has a mild, analog-like sound, and I think your evaluation will differ depending on whether you prefer a metallic sound or a natural sound. To put it simply, it is "a new transfer of a branched dubbing tape from the original master that has been recorded for a longer time than the previous release", and there is nothing more or less than that, but for enthusiasts it is of high quality. There is no doubt that it is a satisfying book with a large amount of it. If you remember the previous release, you will understand that the musical tone is very close from beginning to end, and the sound quality is sufficiently good, so even beginners can enjoy the full 156 minutes, making it a recommended piece.
