The Stoke performance on the 15th was recorded one week after "OXFORD BLUES", which has been very well received as the latest definitive version of the standard sound board, and has become an even more standard at this time. It is a sound board recording that saw the light of day in "LIVE IN STOKE, ENGLAND VOLUME ONE/TWO" by the label that released "TOUR OVER EUROPE 1980", and has been popular with enthusiasts for a long time, including the mysterious editing of releasing it with a farm live performance mixed in without credits. The original sound quality was very good, and while copies with a framed paper jacket design were produced afterwards, the sound quality reached the next level with the old Tara "THE STOKER". After that, the sound quality was slowly upgraded based on the same title. It can't be helped that the unrecorded parts, including the large cut in "The Rain Song", which seems to have been hit by the change of the surface of the original cassette, are chronic (the same phenomenon as the beginning of Destroyer's "The Song Remains The Same"), so the sound quality aspect will be highlighted. After that, copies with clear gene notation began to spread among traders, and in the 2010s, "1st gen" also appeared on the Internet. However, when releasing it, the owner of the sound source made more or less edits and uploaded it, which was the trend at the time, for better or worse. For example, the non-label version "STOKE 1973" based on the version by a person named Weedwacker was highly praised as the best release at the time, but it still did not reach the naturalness. However, the maniac who released the best copy of the Oxford performance that was the basis of "OXFORD BLUES" has now released the "1st gen" version of Stoke. This is a wonderful version with full naturalness without any unnecessary gimmicks, and the texture is very calm compared to past releases. So, just like with "OXFORD BLUES", "GRAF ZEPPELIN" has shown his skills to the fullest this time as well. Due to the nature of good sound quality, many items have been produced so far, but it is also true that some of them have been released in various forms without even mentioning their names, such as "unnecessarily flashy equalization added" or "increasing the input of the version that was originally a copy of the old generation to increase the hiss noise". There have been such items even in recent years, but this time, because it is natural, the hiss noise is kept at a natural level, and it is really easy to listen to without it being badly noticeable. With "GRAF ZEPPELIN" adding the final touch to such an excellent version, the listening comfort is obvious at a glance. Compared to this version, the past version was still rough, and depending on the item, the finish was even intrusive. This is the model of "naturalness that does not tire the ear". And even among the sound boards from the PA out of the same period, the state in which Bonzo's drums were captured with a perfect balance is too attractive. His drumming, which is often described as "thumping", can be captured so vividly even on a multi-track? It seems so good that it is impossible to reproduce it. Rather, it is a famous sound source that makes full use of the advantages of the PA sound board, and that is why the recording was made to take full advantage of the naturalness without any unnatural production. It was also a very lucky timing that he recorded the time when his drumming skills began to explode. "Dazed And Confused" from the first half of 1973, a time when great performances were mass-produced. Bonzo was shining throughout the day, and the power was even more powerful in a unique state, which is the secret to the high popularity of this sound board. The balance of Jimmy's volume being pushed aside by the drums is not at all unnatural. In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that the appearance of the best version has been awaited for nearly 10 years, Stoke in 1973. Among the many January sound boards, the famous recording and performance has finally been renovated with a meticulous adjustment by "GRAF ZEPPELIN"! The latest remaster from the 1st Gen sound source by the same collector as the previous "OXFORD BLUES"! In the CD era, this live performance first appeared on a separate 2CD set called "LIVE IN STOKE, ENGLAND VOLUME ONE/TWO". Various sound sources have been released in the past, and the cut-outs of SONG REMAIN and Heaven, and the cut-ins of RAIN SONG and Mune Ippai are the same, but this version is currently the best. Phase and bandwidth correction has been done on this board, and in particular, the phase shift problem has been resolved for the first time on this board. The low and high frequencies have also been moderately corrected, giving it a sharper tone without being overdone, and adding depth to the flat texture. Some of the previously released titles have very loud sounds, and some have added excessive bathroom echo, but there was a lot of hiss noise and even a buzzing noise in the quiet parts. This board has been mastered with an emphasis on range and balance, resulting in a natural sound that does not tire your ears.
