This is definitely the final product! If the soundboards of the 1973 UK tour by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" are "OXFORD BLUES" and "LIVE IN STOKE 1973", then any enthusiast would have guessed that the next release would be the one on January 14th in Liverpool, which took place between them. Rather, it is Liverpool that was most eagerly awaited for the renewal of the best title among the soundboards recorded at the PA out in January 1973. This soundboard became known to the world when the encore part was discovered on the old, plain and austere LP "TROUBLE AT THE FRONT / DEATH WISH OUT TAKES", and then a full-length version appeared on CD items. Since the original was a soundboard, many titles were produced for this live performance, not to be outdone by the previous two performances, but especially in the 1990s, there were many items that tried to hide the tape with a strong feeling of falling off the gene by equalizing it. Furthermore, since the 21st century, this situation has improved a little, but still, there are poor equalization, and even scratch noise due to the use of the encore part from the LP mentioned above, making it an unfortunate soundboard with no items released in a decent state. Therefore, it was a waste of time just to list the past titles... It was an unsatisfactory situation for many years. In order to add to the thirst, "GRAF ZEPPELIN" has risen up to release the best of the unfortunate Liverpool 73. "GRAF ZEPPELIN" based it on the 2nd gen. copy released by "Weedwacker", and needless to say, there is no quoted part from the LP. "GRAF ZEPPELIN" gave it a thorough overhaul, resulting in a stunning finish that easily dismisses past items. After all, since it is a low generation, there is hiss noise, but the difference in the state is clear, being natural and not piercing to the ears. For example, it is a level that cannot be compared to the 90's items that tried to suppress this problem with noise reduction. However, there is no hard equalization or pitch correction that was found in 21st century items, nor is there any scratch noise concealment equalizer due to quoting the LP part. This is the first time that Liverpool 73 will be released in a decent state! It has such an overwhelming upper feeling that you would want to declare it. It seems that most enthusiasts had the impression that Liverpool was not as familiar as Oxford or Stoke, even though it was a sound board, due to the proliferation of items with the problems mentioned above, and this release is sure to make you realize for the first time that "Was it such a fun sound board?" In the first place, the sound board in January 1973 was particularly "lacking in realism" and "balanced in a way that the drums stand out more than the guitar" among the PA outs at the ZEP73 live performance, but it was rather enjoyable because it was "Bonzo's drums". The PA sound board of this period consistently captured his drums with a powerful balance, but on this day, the explosive feeling of Bonzo's drums was even more captured and it was full of power. Recording started in the middle of the intro of "Over The Hills And Far Away", and furthermore, the tape was changed from the end of "The Rain Song" to the beginning of "Dazed And Confused", which resulted in a cut. However, interestingly, the scenes where Bonzo's drums explode in "Over The~" and "Dazed And~" were well recorded, and in the latter case, recording started from the development where his drums started to explode. In other words, it is also a big attraction that Bonzo's highlights are captured on the sound board without exception, and his drums are crisp not only in the previous "Dazed And~" but also in the "Whole Lotta Love" medley at the end of the live performance. That's why both LP-raising parts and excessive equalization were out of the question, and in 2024, the definitive version of Liverpool 73 was finally released in a satisfactory form as "GRAF ZEPPELIN"...or maybe it was too late. This is a powerful sound board dedicated to Bonzo freaks! REMASTERED BY GRAF ZEPPELIN Remastering Notes The latest remaster from the version released by Weedwacker (2nd Gen in its entirety)! This is definitely the definitive version. This is a live performance that has been available since the LP era, and there are still some items available even in the CD era, but the items released in the '90s were not very good, with scratches conspicuous after the first cut of Whole Lotta at the end of the live performance, copies from related CD titles, and audio dubbing before and after the cut. There are also several items released since the 2000s, but there are many items with no mastering sense, records with artificial noise floating in them, and deafness equalizer records with a bubbling sound as if you were listening underwater with earplugs, so there were no definitive items. This is the first time that the phase shift has been corrected and the pitch has been adjusted, and the volume and EQ balance have been adjusted appropriately, so there is no digital noise. Since there is no noise reduction, there is a certain amount of hiss, and the sound between songs and in the quiet parts is low, but even the hiss is more pleasant to the ear than the previous ones. This is definitely an item that allows you to enjoy a tight sound that is natural and not too much compared to the previous ones! In addition, the Weedwacker version includes an additional bonus recording from the end of Whole Lotta to Ocean with the 1st Gen label, but this is not used at all in this version because the frequency band is raised in the performance part and the spectrum is very dirty sound processing is done.
