It seems like all kinds of live recordings of Led Zeppelin have been released, but some of them have not been reissued for over 20 years, and even some have been completely overlooked. This time, New Haven on August 15, 1970 will be released on a limited press CD for the first time in a while. This tour is the legendary tour where “LIVE ON BLUEBERRY HILL” was created. In terms of sound quality, "LIVE ON~" was outstanding, but in terms of performance, it was also a time when "great performances were the default", and in fact, there were performances such as Tulsa, Boston, MSG on the final day of the tour in Oakland, etc. It was a time when amazing stages were being performed as a matter of course. Even in New Haven, there was a great performance that seemed to be the beginning of such a tour, but only “RARE SHORT PARTY” by the nostalgic label released this valuable sound source. After that, there was a title called "BLUES EROTICA" which created the current longest version using the extremely fragmentary "recorder 2" excavated in recent years, but even that was released 10 years ago. In fact, apart from this sound source, only “recorder 1” has been released many times under the title “NEW HAVEN 1970” and has continued to be well received. However, in August, the current longest version of the two New Haven sound sources was uploaded onto the internet. Information regarding the generation of the sound source is also clear: "Recorder 1" is a low-generation version with less deterioration, having been copied twice from the master to the reel (not a cassette), and "Recorder 2", which is a supplementary staff member, is the third generation. . The latter appears in very few places, and is only a patch staff, so the 3rd gen. status may not be of much concern. Still, “Recorder 1” is a sound source with many cuts, so the point that the ending of “Since I’ve Been Loving You” can be heard thanks to “Recorder 2” is too high. And I would like you to listen and compare, but this time's "Recorder 1" is a low generation, so the freshness has increased and the sound quality has clearly improved compared to the rough sound quality. In front of this version, the sound quality will appear extremely grainy. I think people will listen to it with an upper feel that can no longer be compared to past releases. It is certainly a recording condition with noticeable roughness typical of a vintage audience, and there is no doubt that it is for enthusiasts. The downside is that there are a lot of cuts that I mentioned earlier. However, while the roughness is a concern, it is also true that the performance is captured with a surprisingly large sound image, making it a surprisingly enjoyable sound source for enthusiasts. Although it cannot be compared to "LIVE ON BLUEBERRY HILL" (that is too special), when it comes to audience recordings from other parts of this tour, there are many sound sources with distant sound images, such as Oakland and MSG. In such a situation, the closeness of the sound of the original sound source is attractive. What's more, the performance on this day was amazing...or rather, Plant, who was in top form, easily let out a roar and pulled the band along. The first climax is around 10 minutes after the bowing section of “Dazed And Confused” ends and the band returns, and the aggressive development that cannot be seen on other days on this tour will be nailed down. Even more amazing is “Whole Lotta Love”. It is a shame that the beginning of the performance is not recorded here, but when the medley moves to “High Heeled Sneakers”, the plant screams loudly. He has complete control over the subsequent development of the medley. The amazingness of the plant, which naturally makes a spectacular scream. And the finale is “Communication Breakdown”. The band began to play "Good Times Bad Times", guided by Plant who showed no signs of fatigue here. It is a development that was seen not only in “LIVE ON BLUEBERRY HILL” but also in Oakland, etc., but the scream of the plant here is intense. It's no surprise that the audience literally goes crazy in front of this amazing singing (it's really annoying...bitter smile). After all, it is a masterpiece that makes us realize that the American tour from August to September 1970 was a special time. Not only the sound quality but also the pitch deviation has been precisely adjusted, and the definitive edition of the rare show that will delight enthusiasts is finally released! (Remaster Memo) Adjusted the high pitch at the beginning and low pitch at the end as much as possible. The release itself is a very rare performance. However, the sound quality is high. The sound is close and clear. Live at Yale Bowl, New Haven, CT, USA 15th August 1970 (UPGRADE) Disc 1 (43:54) 1. Intro 2. Immigrant Song 3. Heartbreaker 4. MC★Other source patch 5.
