"Pb" is a legendary item as a ZEP bootleg origin item and a mega-rare LP. It goes without saying that it is valuable as an item, but it is surprising that the original source of the soundboard recording recorded here is still this LP, and the value of the sound source is still preserved. In terms of sound quality, it is a mysterious sound source that is said to have been broadcast on FM while being in a state close to a PA-out soundboard. However, it is also true that there are certainly traces of editing that are intended for broadcast, such as the intro cut of "Heartbreaker", the shortened editing of "Whole Lotta Love", and the order of the songs that is different from the actual performance order. In any case, there is no doubt that it is a valuable soundboard recording produced from the first US tour in 1970, and there is also no doubt that it has excellent sound quality. For these reasons, "Pb" has produced countless copies, including LPs and CDs, but in the end, it depends on whether the vintage LP can be carefully traced as follows. In that respect, the release of various CD items was heated for a while, but the definitive version that put an amazing end to that situation was "GRAF ZEPPELIN's "Pb: PURE BLUES". It was not just a careful reprint of a mega rare LP, but also included the Aud of the same day that was excavated in recent years, and reproduced the live performance in Vancouver on March 21, 1970 with existing sound sources, making the release on three discs a masterpiece. It was an overwhelming masterpiece that continues to receive tremendous support from enthusiasts. However, it is true that the volume of the same sound source on three discs is a release for enthusiasts, and it is necessary to release it in a package that is easier for beginners to get into. It was none other than "GRAF ZEPPELIN" himself who suggested this. Indeed, the existing sound source from March 21, 1970 is the length that fits on one disc, so it is inevitable to release a light package version that can be listened to on one disc quickly. Previously, single-disc items such as the non-label version of "Pb" were released on March 21, 1970, but this time, a single-disc version by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" will be released. Produced by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" himself, the LP part of "Pb" uses the version without any equalization that was used in the second half of the second disc of "Pb: PURE BLUES". However, the scratch noise peculiar to vintage vinyl, which was not yet fully addressed at the time of the release of the board, has been further thoroughly removed. The fine finish is as if it was started from scratch. It is finished so that even beginners who say "No matter how rare LPs are, I can't tolerate noise..." can enjoy it with peace of mind. In addition, the twists and other issues of the Aud excavated in recent years (although it was more than 10 years ago... time flies) have been thoroughly adjusted. This is an audience recording, but even maniacs felt that the opening "We're Gonna Groove" was a bit muffled and of poor quality, but after that, when the performances of "I Can't Quit You Baby" and "Dazed And Confused" continued, Plant's voice was captured loudly and it was surprisingly easy to hear. Above all, these two songs were not included in the soundboard, and in "Dazed And Confused," Plant's ad-lib, which reminded the audience, "Why don't you all sit down? You can't see the people in the back," appeared, making it a valuable document. And above all, the appearance of Aud revealed that the intro was cut on the soundboard for "Heartbreaker." Indeed, on this tour, Jimmy was searching for an intro arrangement to start the song on stage every night, and it was surprising maniacs around the world to find out that here in Vancouver, he started with a "Something Else"-style rock and roll riff thanks to this Aud. This new version of "Pb", which was beautifully compiled by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" himself, allows you to enjoy both the standard soundboard part and the precious Aud on a single disc. The soundboard in particular is extremely fresh, and once again reminds you of the greatness of the original LP. The definitive version of "Pb", where you can enjoy the mega-rare LP in its best condition! Remastering notes The LP version is not limited (the noise in the LP part of the latter half of Disc 2 of the GRAF ZEP version has been removed) and is coupled with the Aud sound source. The LP part has had some annoying small noise removed. The Aud part has been corrected for waffling. The band has also been slightly revised.
