During ZEP's first US tour in 1970, the Ottawa performance on April 14th was perhaps the most worthy live recording to be called a "hidden gem." The incomplete recordings meant few items were released, and in fact, they tend to be overlooked by non-enthusiasts. However, the sound source itself is a very easy-to-listen-to audience recording, reminding us that it is indeed a hidden gem from the 1970s. When this sound source was first released, it became a hot topic due to its ease of listening. This is the 5-CD set "THE TRADE MARK OF QUALITY MASTERS VOLUME ONE" box set. When it first appeared here, it was a sound source that first appeared, and the sound quality was excellent, making it a surprise enough to impress enthusiasts. The TMOQ box version also had the tracklist swapped at the time of release, and the opening, which began with Jimmy's intro to "Heartbreaker" using a delay echo, was a refreshing change. Now, many items have been released, proving that this unique intro was a unique attempt at this tour, but at the time it was quite surprising. Since then, not many items have been released, and as a result, it has become a sound source for the first American tour of 1970, which has now been overlooked. However, even listening to it again, the sound quality is surprisingly good. In particular, the sound images of "Dazed And Confused" and "Whole Lotta Love" are so close that it almost seems like a soundboard broadcast on AM radio. And yet, the quiet surroundings also contribute to ease of listening. It makes sense that this live performance in the TMOQ box was named "Parliament Hill," a parody of Blueberry Hill. Needless to say, it was "GRAF ZEPPELIN" who carefully recorded this hidden masterpiece after reviewing it from the master. The difference in sound quality is clear compared to previous items. Compared to this version, the TMOQ box and the most recent items, "JUST THE CROWD AND...," which recorded in the correct track order, were generally in a state of genera-degraded through analog dubbing. While those items were easy enough to listen to, this impressive upgrade truly removes the muddiness and film of the sound. There's no distortion or low-frequency noise that resulted from genera-degraded items in previous items. While the original recording was surprisingly easy to listen to, a considerable amount of time has passed since the previous release, and most enthusiasts will be surprised by the ease of listening to this release. While the US in the spring of 1970 had a classic soundboard called "Pb" from Vancouver on the first day of the tour, Ottawa, recording the final part of the tour, had such a good sound quality that it could be mistaken for a radio broadcast, and the fact that it was a live performance in the same Canada, makes it a perfect counterpart to "Pb." The bonus recording includes a recently unearthed recording of the Helsinki concert from the same year. As you may know, the definitive "TOCCATA AND FUGUE: HELSINKI 1970" supervised by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" is still fresh in our minds today, but this recording features a completely different audience. While this one offers a distant sound image, Jimmy's performance is surprisingly easy to listen to, without the extreme balance of a loud sound. It's also so fresh that it's a shame we only get to hear two songs (perhaps this is all they have left). The 1970 Ottawa recording, which captured the experimental period, including the intro to "Heartbreaker," with a very good sound image, is a surprising upgrade. With such clean and clear sound quality, even non-enthusiasts should be able to enjoy it. The 1970 American tour's premium audience, which was literally overlooked, has been reborn by "GRAF ZEPPELIN." Seeing is believing! This latest remaster of the master digital copy is a must-have! This latest remaster has been deliberately not mono-fied. It has a pseudo-stage-like texture, but is differentiated from previous releases. The bonus includes two separate sources from the Helsinki performance, which first appeared in recent years! Although it's the first appearance, there are only two songs (Thank You splits the organ solo into three tracks), but at present, these are the only two songs, but they are valuable first recordings!
