Led Zeppelin June 21, 1977 LA Forum. There's no need for any other explanation. Our store has also released the sound source of this day several times, but each time it has been sold out. Even if it no longer bears the title "LISTEN TO EDDIE", it will easily become popular. Also, it's been a while since the various titles we released on June 21st have been sold out, and there has been no shortage of requests for their reissues. On the contrary, ``Since it's such a classic ZEP live performance, I want it to be repeated more often...'' A treasure of the ZEP live sound source that has established such a solid position. ZEP is the group that legendary taper Mike Millard loved the most and devoted all his energy to recording. The best masterpiece of audience recording that caught the ZEP live he left behind. At the same time, the great thing about this sound source is that it captured the stage sound that 1977's ZEP was aiming for. ZEP in 1977, who slowly improved their performance with Destroyer, Landover, Fort Worth, and MSG, gave their best performance at the LA Forum, their sacred place. In fact, although each person has their own preferences, there is no doubt that June 21st is one of the top three performances on the 1977 tour. After all, Bonzo's drumming on this day was amazing... There is no live day in April that has reached this level, and even in July after the LA schedule has ended, there has been no day that has reached this level. The tour started in April, and the intense chemistry that occurred the moment they arrived at the venue that ZEP loved to play in the first place. Moreover, it was literally "chemistry"... There is a feeling that Bonzo's flying play of this day in the few songs from the opening has been talked about completely, but the intense drumming still beats you every time you play it back. On the contrary, Bonzo has a strong presence throughout "No Quarter". No one disputes that Bonzo is the star of the day! Although it is a feature of the LA performance that the degree of “chemistry” has escalated in this way, the atmosphere on June 21st is still special. Our release “LOS ANGELES 1977 1ST NIGHT” is a mirrored recording that has been vacuum-packed beautifully, and has been further contained in a limited press CD. Although it is very natural and convinces of the low generation, it is the definitive version that compensates for the cut caused by the tape change in "Ten Years Gone", which was a drawback of mirrored recording, with another source. Among the "LISTEN TO EDDIE" items that have been released countless times, this is also a title that was released without using that title. Since it was sold out, its re-release has been eagerly awaited, and we have acquired a copy of Mirrored Master in new condition. When our staff first received it, we were skeptical that it would be much different from "LOS ANGELES 1977 1ST NIGHT," but when we played it back, we found it to be very fresh and had a natural sound depth. I was overwhelmed by how good the condition was. In addition to June 21st, the ZEP sound source that Millard left behind is different from the various audience recordings he created with Floyd and Dylan, and has less spread at the level of a master copy. This was a phenomenon that occurred precisely because he had outstanding recording techniques, but at the same time, he was also eccentric. In that case, even copies of the same low generation level will have differences in sound quality depending on the equipment used. Among other things, Millard liked to use Dolby NR on and off, and liked the way it extended the treble. Because of this, subsequent copies tend to cause changes in sound quality in a different sense than deterioration. In that respect, the sound quality of the copy I got this time can be said to be exceptional. Of course, this time as well, the missing parts of “Ten Years Gone” are compensated for with another familiar sound source. Moreover, it is a perfect title not only for those who have been waiting for the reissue of the June 21st item from our store, which has been sold out for a long time, but also for enthusiasts who want to listen to or own the item from this day. There is no doubt that there is. The Forum, Inglewood, California, USA 21st June 1977 Disc 1 (70:01) 01. Intro 02. The Song Remains The Same 03. Sick Again 04. Nobody's Fault But Mine 05.
