"Is this kind of sound possible for audience recording?"...A live album with a transcendental sound that will make you doubt your ears is now available. The point of this work is above all the amazing sound experience, but let's start with the concert, which is the main character. Speaking of KRAFTWERK in 2016, we have reported on their warm-up appearance at "MOVEMENT ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL 2016" in May, and "VERONA 2016 (Uxbridge 593)", the first day of their full tour in July. , this time we will deliver the audience album of "Stockholm performance on July 31, 2016". First, let's check the position in the overview of the current tour. ・May 28th: Detroit ・July 25th-31st: European tour (3 performances) ←★Here★ ・August 4th-7th: 8 performances in Oslo [THE CATALOGUE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8]・September 3rd - 18th: US tour (8 shows) ・October 7th - 14th: 8 shows in Bilbao [THE CATALOGUE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8] November 19th - 26th: Central and South America Tour (4 performances) These are the concert activities for 2016 that have been announced so far. The Stockholm performance of this work is the last of the “3 European tour performances”. Not much time has passed since the last time we delivered "VERONA 2016", and the set list has actually been shortened and shaped up. Still, the biggest reason I'm introducing this is the "sound" of this work. In fact, due to the limited number of songs in the show, some people said, ``No matter how good the sound was, it was a shame to see it off.'' However, since I received the master, I played it casually and thought it would be in my personal collection, and it was just "good"! An incredibly ``terrifying'' sound came out. It's no longer a slightly high-quality sound. The sound of ``VERONA 2016'' is also intense and clear, and in the commentary we introduced it as ``like a soundboard'' and ``like having your ears attached to the speakers.'' It is not wrong even if I listen to it again now, but this work is equally clear, but even richer. Especially amazing is the deep bass. The digital beat is thick and rich. It's an immersive experience that feels like the whole room has become a speaker, and it shakes your heart, and when you listen to it with headphones, it feels like the capillaries in your brain are pulsating. Of course, it's not just filled with bass. It also has a vividness of mid-high tones that rivals such thick bass, and even the overall balance is superb. Even the words “like a soundboard” and “like an official” are no longer compliments. In fact, this work even has a wonderful “audience quality” that slightly embellishes the extremely thick musical tones. There are applause that erupts at the beginning of the performance and between songs, but even while the audience is listening quietly, the sense of the scene is amazing. Although it is a super clear musical sound with no reverberation, the entire space envelops me. In the case of a true soundboard, KRAFTWERK sounds just like a studio work. However, it is precisely because of this “on-site feeling” and “enveloping feeling” that the live album has meaning. I would like to make a little digression here. I wondered how such a recording was possible... and when I looked into it, it seems that this work was recorded outdoors. The concert was held at an outdoor venue set up on Skeppsholmen Island, a small island connected to the center of Stockholm by a bridge. This "extremely thick + zero reverberation" musical tone certainly seems like a modern outdoor sound. By recording toward a PA tower installed outdoors, you can directly record the powerful sound of a modern PA, making it almost like a line recording. However, that alone cannot explain this work. The (only) drawback of such outdoor recordings is that they tend to lack a stereo feel because they are made directly from an outdoor PA tower. However, this work even has a wonderful stereo effect that allows you to immerse yourself in the space. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if the multiple PA towers were arranged in such a well-balanced manner...The more I think about it, the more mysterious it is. Quiet talk. Aside from the recording situation, the important thing is that this work has the ultimate ultra-high sound quality. It is also possible to stand at the KRAFTWERK site while having the “taste of audience recording” firmly. Up until now, in the history of rock recording, the concept of "soundboard > audience" has been subconsciously rooted. No matter how much he loved the "taste of guest records," deep in his heart he believed that it could never surpass "absolute quality." However, advances in technology may even be surpassing the barrier of "sound board > audience"... This is a transcendent sound that challenges even such common sense. Not only for KRAFTWERK fans and Euro rock fans, but also for those who are attracted to the "culture itself" of concert recording.
