In 2008, KISS held their first large-scale tour in a while, "ALIVE 35 WORLD TOUR," to commemorate their 35th anniversary. A full video (with the finest sound board) that allows you to experience the highlight performance with a super spectacular view is now available. The highlight performance is “June 13, 2008: Donington Park Performance”. This is an amazing audience shot when they appeared at the UK's largest rock festival "DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL". KISS first visited Donington in 1988 during the MONSTERS OF ROCK era, and this work was also the third sacred place performance on the 20th anniversary. In addition, the 35th anniversary tour is also left in the official live album “ALIVE 35”, but this work can be said to be the video version of it. In order to explain its meaning, let's look back at the schedule at that time and check the show's position. 2008, March 16th-22nd: Oceania (4 performances), May 9th-June 28th: Europe (30 performances) ←★Here★, August 4th-31st: North America #1 (4 Performances) April 3-17, 2009: South America (7 performances) June 27-July 28: North America #2 (10 performances) September 25-October 5: North America #3a (8 performances)《``SONIC BOOM'' released on October 6th》・October 7th - December 13th: North America #3b (39 performances) This is KISS in 2008/2009. This work is the 21st performance of “Europe”, which was arranged in the first half of the tour. As a matter of fact, the official version “ALIVE 35” was also produced from the Stockholm performance of the “European” leg, and this work is a show two weeks later. This work, shot on such a stage, is an unusually high-quality video. As I introduced at the beginning, an official-grade sound board is also used for the audio, but even that is only a small part of the charm. Anyway, it's a spectacular view that makes you want to line up the "super" one after another, and there are so many direct close-ups of the members that you can't tell where they were taken. It's at a height where you can line up with the members without looking up, so there should be a certain distance (Donington Park has a stage at the bottom of a slope and is set up like a natural coliseum, so the further back you go, the higher it becomes, making it easier to see). However, when zooming, the sense of distance is about the 10th row. Furthermore, the stability of using a tripod is also outstanding. I swing the camera left and right while zooming so that half of Jean and Paul's bodies fill the screen, but I don't feel any camera shake. It's an amazing video that remains easy to watch even if you search for the highlights. This alone is amazing, but what's even more surprising is the different audio. I wrote earlier that ``soundboard ``also'' is used'', but in fact, in addition to the best soundboard, original audio from the camera itself is also recorded, and this is also an amazing sound quality. Honestly, it makes me wonder, "Which one is the sound board?" Of course, the sound of handclaps is close, and the loud applause between songs creates an ultra-realistic sense of presence. However, the important performance sound and singing voice are extremely thick and close. Although it is not shown on the screen, it is probably right next to the PA towers set up at various locations at the venue. Since it is outdoors, there is no echo component and the sound is directly picked up. In terms of sound quality, even though it is a sound board level, the sense of realism is 100% real...In fact, it is a super delicious sound that you want to listen to as the main one, putting aside the sound board. What is depicted with such visual beauty is a full show that feels like experiencing the famous album "ALIVE!" on site. Actually, it was two weeks after “ALIVE 35”, so the set is very similar (the order of the songs is different). However, since it is also a video work, let's organize it by comparing it with "ROCK THE NATION LIVE!" which is close in time. "ALIVE!" Classics (main set 13 songs) KISS: Deuce / Strutter (★) / Nothin' To Lose (★) / 100,000 Years / Cold Gin (★) / Black Diamond (★)・HOTTER THAN HELL: Got to Choose / Hotter Than Hell (★) / Parasite / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll ( ★)・DRESSED TO KILL: C'mon And Love Me (★)/She/Rock And Roll All Nite since 1976 (6 encore songs)・DESTROYER: Shout It Out Loud/Detroit Rock City・LOVE GUN: Love Gun・DYNASTY: I Was Made for Lovin' You ・CREATURES OF THE NIGHT: I Love It Loud ・LICK IT UP: Lick It Up *Note: Songs marked with "★" are not available on "ROCK THE NATION LIVE!" ...and it looks like this. In addition to the selections that cannot be seen in “ROCK THE NATION LIVE!”, what is even more intense is the show composition. The theme of the main set was "ALIVE!" and all songs were performed except for the three songs "Firehouse", "Watchin' You", and "Rock Bottom". The order of the songs is also reminiscent of historical masterpieces (although it is not the same, so it is not a reproduction). In “ALIVE 35”, “Cold Gin” was an encore, but in this work, it is played properly in the main set. You can experience the ultimate experience of ``Visual ALIVE!,'' which was a hot topic at the time. Speaking of the DOWNLOAD festival, KISS was scheduled to perform at the 2020 edition, but the festival itself was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. It has been decided that he will make a revenge appearance in the 2021 edition, and his trends are attracting attention. This is a superb video work that I would like you to look back on now. A truly “moving ALIVE!” Please enjoy the superb view and superb sound board (+α)! You can choose between two sound sources: ultra-high quality audience recording and stereo soundboard. Both are the best! ! Download Festival, Donington, UK 13th June 2008 AMAZING SHOT Dual Audio Option (Original Audience Recording / Stereo Sbd) (123:53) 1. Opening 2. Deuce 3. Strutter 4.
