The ultimate master of the legendary official live album "ROCK 'N ROLL PARTY IN TOKYO" has been brushed up! It's set to be released on a CD with the highest quality sound!! "ROCK 'N ROLL PARTY IN TOKYO" is truly a legendary official work. Originally, this work was planned as a Japan-only live album, recording the band's legendary first visit to Japan in 1977. Engineer/producer Eddie Kramer, who also worked on "ALIVE!" and "ROCK AND ROLL OVER," handled the recording, and this official work was produced from "April 2, 1977: Nippon Budokan (two evening and evening performances)." This was also planned as a way for the extremely busy KISS to take a break, but both the record company and KISS themselves chose to continue their activities. They began work on "LOVE GUN," and the plan for a live album of their Japan performances was shelved. "ROCK 'N ROLL PARTY IN TOKYO" was thus forgotten. The live recordings recorded in Japan were later reused as part of "ALIVE II" and made official. In the 1990s, "ROCK 'N ROLL PARTY IN TOKYO" itself was leaked, but it was released as an "ALIVE II outtake." The acetate record produced by Eddie Kramer shocked the world. Since then, "ROCK 'N ROLL PARTY IN TOKYO" has become widely known as a collector's staple, but it wasn't until 2023 that a master record that significantly surpassed its peak was released. Unearthed through our exclusive connections, this acetate record was produced by none other than Eddie Kramer himself! Acetate records are used to check the mix before the master disc is produced, and this record contains the final mix just before it was officially released. Contained within this acetate record is a completely official sound. While TV broadcasts and leaked pro shots of their first visit to Japan at the Nippon Budokan are well known, the sound was completely different from those soundboard recordings, and it was comparable to "ALIVE II." The astonishing meticulous mastering by GRAF ZEPPELIN was a new discovery that shocked collectors worldwide, and the original release quickly sold out and was discontinued. This is a reissue of this miraculous live album. However, it is an upgraded version that has been refined and updated to the highest quality thanks to GRAF ZEPPELIN's meticulous mastering. The essence of GRAF ZEPPELIN's mastering is its faithful yet relentless precision in precisely reproducing the original sound. While pitch and phase correction, even for 1/1000th of a second, and various noise processing techniques have been applied, perhaps the most effective adjustment was the stereo correction. If you own the previous version, I recommend listening to it with headphones; you may notice a slight off-axis sound on the right channel. Of course, it's a small error that you only notice when someone points it out, but GRAF ZEPPELIN doesn't overlook even the slightest of imperfections. They precisely correct it, restoring normal stereo sound. You might be thinking, "Oh, they just turned up the right channel," but this is where GRAF ZEPPELIN truly shines. While correcting stereo sound is a common technique, simply boosting the volume of one channel simultaneously raises the entire frequency range. This throws off the balance of each frequency range and increases noises like hiss. This can lead to issues like, "One side sounds shrill, even though the left and right volumes are the same." In GRAF ZEPPELIN's mastering, both channels are subjected to frequency band analysis and adjustment. Not only are the left and right volumes adjusted, but the balance of each frequency range is also adjusted. At first listen, the sound is simply normal, without any noticeable issues, but creating that "normal sound" is no easy feat, and it's something that only "ROCK 'N ROLL PARTY IN TOKYO" achieves. The true nature of this phantom live album, distinct from ALIVE II. This phantom official masterpiece, distinct from both "ALIVE!" and "ALIVE II," features such a top-notch updated sound. As mentioned above, this album has also been known as an "ALIVE II outtake," so let's compare it to the official "ALIVE II" here. DESTROYER (5 songs), Detroit Rock City / Do You Love Me? (★), God Of Thunder / Beth / Shout It Out Loud, and others (6 songs), ROCK AND ROLL OVER: Take Me (★), Ladies Room / Makin' Love / I Want You, and others: Cold Gin (★), Rock And Roll All Nite (★). Note: Songs marked with a "★" are not included on "ALIVE II." Bonus tracks capturing the era of their first visit to Japan. In addition to this phantom live album, this release (like the first release) also includes some delicious bonus tracks, including radio shows and press conferences from their first visit to Japan. You can also hear the Japanese message, "Hello, we are KISS. Please come along today, thank you very much. Let's all do our best and give it a good performance. Please enjoy." The main feature is an interview with Gene Simmons by a famous DJ. The stories behind his Godzilla-patterned boots and classic songs are fascinating, and the content, such as "I've decided to come back to Japan!" and "Next year I'll release a solo album!!", is very much in keeping with the times. When asked, "Don't you get bored of being so fired up every time?", Gene responds in his signature style, "Do you get bored of sex? Even if it's the same every time, it's always the best, right?" And the highlight is when he says, "I'm going to release a live album recorded in Japan." He's referring to this album, and he also reveals his plans at the time, saying, "I'll record another one at the LA Forum next year (1978) and release two versions." It's been two years since the acetate disc was unearthed, which shocked the world. The long-awaited official debut album from their Japan tour has been upgraded. This cultural heritage album has been reborn through GRAF ZEPPELIN's mastering, which can be likened to the restoration of a cultural asset. Left and right volume bandwidth adjustment (boosting the right channel, then adjusting the left and right bandwidth) has been performed. Audio cutouts have been corrected in several places, including in "I Want You" (1:10). Several areas of sharpness in one channel have been repaired. Several areas of irritating digital noise have been removed. This time, the intro, bass, and guitar solos have been divided. This is the ultimate update of the long-awaited official live album, "ROCK 'N ROLL PARTY IN TOKYO." This is the official release from "April 2, 1977: Nippon Budokan (two evening and evening performances)," digitized from acetate discs owned by Eddie Kramer. GRAF ZEPPELIN has polished and refined it, correcting even the slightest stereo distortion. This ultimate cultural heritage album also includes bonus recordings of a press conference and radio program from his first visit to Japan.
