The first half of KISS' 1990 "HOT IN THE SHADE" North American tour, held on May 18th at the Palace of Auburn Hills in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, will be released on DVD using high-quality professional shot video masters. Following "CRAZY NIGHT," which was one of the biggest hits even in the no-makeup era, KISS released "HOT IN THE SHADE" in 1989, which corrected its course from the thorough major route of the previous work and put out the original straight rock sound that is characteristic of KISS. Although this work did not achieve the same commercial success as the previous work due to the introduction of a blues taste in some parts and the influence of the changing rock scene, "Forever," which was co-written with Michael Bolton, became a big hit and became a memorable work in KISS's career. The tour for "HOT IN THE SHADE" started in earnest in early May 1990 and was a large-scale tour that lasted for about half a year until the first half of November of the same year, with a total of over 120 performances. Furthermore, this tour later became the last live performance for Eric Carr, making it unforgettable for KISS fans. This work is a complete recording of the performance on May 18th in Auburn Hills, a suburb of Detroit, which is the first half of the "HOT IN THE SHADE" tour, over 107 minutes from a super high-definition professional shot video master that is sure to be of master quality. You can enjoy the live performance at your leisure. As the dignified theme of the movie music resounds, the Sphinx set emerges, and even the opening where the four members appear in the pitch black hall with laser beams shining, the intro of "I Stole Your Love" with pyro explosions, and the lighting effects of "Heaven's On Fire" are just some of the flashy highlights that are typical of KISS. The quality of this video is to enjoy outstanding entertainment in the best way possible, including flashy gimmicks and the actions of the members. The camera set is so luxurious that you wonder how many there are, from close-ups of each person to the whole stage, and the switching is also impressive with a sense of speed, so you can enjoy the ultimate powerful live performance of the no-makeup era with wonderful high-quality images. It is clear that it was made into a DVD directly from the video master without dubbing, and it is at a level that can be used for television broadcast as it is. The red and blue colors are beautiful, the sound mix is vivid and excellent, and it is a video title that gets 100 points in every sense. From "HOT IN THE SHADE", in addition to the classic "Forever" that will be followed after this, "Rise To It" and "Hide Your Heart" are also set. "Rise To It" was a mixed review on the album, but when you see the live performance now, you will be surprised that "it was such a cool song". At the beginning of "Hide Your Heart", the scene where the audience sings for nearly two minutes is a must-see part. Of course, the band's representative songs and masterpieces are also packed in. The excitement and excitement of the venue explodes with "I Was Made For Lovin' You," the heavy "God Of Thunder," the promised "Love Gun" and "Detroit Rock City" are worth listening to and watching. Fans will be glued to the screen until the fun ending of the last song, "Rock And Roll All Nite." The powerful drumming of the late Eric Carr can be fully experienced with excellent images and sound. Bruce Kulick's technical and flashy guitar playing is overwhelming in its tone and texture, and you can enjoy the charm of Kiss that is unique to this period. Nostalgic numbers from the non-makeup era of the 80s to the early 90s, and nostalgic stages. A must-have pro-shot title for fans full of the strength unique to this era. This work is definitely the definitive video of the 1990 live. Live at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA 18th May 1990 PRO-SHOT 1. I Stole Your Love 2. Deuce 3. Heaven's On Fire 4.
