KISS in 1974, releasing "KISS" and "HOTTER THAN HELL" in rapid succession, conquered the world with relentless touring. This new soundboard masterpiece, infused with that intense live performance, is born! This work permanently preserves the "October 18, 1974 Hammond Concert." This stereo soundboard recording is a must-have. We archive as many masterpieces as possible from the golden age of the '70s, and the early period is particularly popular. 1974 marked the transition between the "KISS Tour" and "HOTTER THAN HELL Tour" with only a slight date difference, so let's first (while organizing our collection) examine this work's position by looking at an overview of their activities at the time. 1974 "KISS Tour" ・January 8th - February 21st: North America #1 (8 shows) 《KISS released on February 18th》 ・March 22nd - August 4th: North America #2 (64 shows) ←※THE AGORA 1974 and others 《August "HOTTER THAN HELL" production》 ・September 13th - October 4th: North America #3 (13 shows) ←※TORONTO SEPTEMBER 1974 "HOTTER THAN HELL Tour" ・October 17th - December 31st: North America #4 (39 shows) ←★Click here★ 1975 ・January 7th - February 22nd: North America #4b (14 shows) ←※SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 1975 "DRESSED TO KILL Tour" ・March 19th - August 28th: North America #5 (74 shows) ←※PROVIDENCE 1975 and other "ALIVE! Tour" September 10th - December 31st: North America #6 (50 shows) ← *LANDOVER 1975 and other shows This is KISS from 1974/1975. This Hammond performance was the second concert immediately after the start of the "HOTTER THAN HELL Tour." The album "HOTTER THAN HELL" was released on October 22nd, and this work was released just four days before that. A top-quality soundboard of this show was leaked about 15 years ago. It was even talked about among KISS collectors as "the biggest discovery of 2010!" This work is a new masterpiece expanded to full size based on that superb soundboard. I suddenly wrote "based on," but in fact, the soundboard from this day was incomplete. The opening two tracks, "Deuce" and "Strutter," were not recorded, and the recording began midway through the third track, "Got to Choose." This work complements the missing parts with the soundboard audio from the pro shot "SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 1975 (January 31st)." It's tailored to be a full live album. And the finished product is astounding! To give you the answer first, "2:25" in "Got to Choose" is the switching point between the two masters, but there's absolutely no sense of incongruity. Even if you listen carefully with headphones, paying close attention to the seconds, you won't know that it's switched. Naturally, it's not a simple connection, but rather precise mastering brings the sound image as close as possible, but I can't remember a connection that's so natural and indistinguishable. Of course, simply not feeling incongruent is meaningless, and the superb quality that permeates the full show size is intense. If you're familiar with the original leaked master, you'll understand, but unlike broadcasts, it's clearly a direct soundboard recorded directly from the mix desk, and the loud cheers are barely a whisper, with a thick, ferocious live performance looming large. It's rough and rugged, but never noisy. It's a super-synchronized, pleasurable soundboard that embodies the ideal form of a leaked master. The super-thick, exposed sound is a full show that's different from "SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 1975." Finally, let's organize the contents. KISS (7 songs), Deuce (*), Strutter (*), Firehouse, Nothin' To Lose, 100,000 Years, Black Diamond, Cold Gin, Other (4 songs), HOTTER THAN HELL: Got To Choose (*), Parasite, Let Me Go, Rock And Roll, DRESSED TO KILL: She (★) *Note: * indicates songs added to the soundboard of "SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 1975." ★ indicates songs not included on "SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 1975." ...And so on. As mentioned above, this day was just after the start of the "HOTTER THAN HELL Tour." The set focused on the first album, sprinkling in new songs from the second and third albums. "Let Me Go, Rock And Roll" and "She" had already become staples, having been performed since 1973, but "Got to Choose" and "Parasite" are also the oldest surviving live performances. Although it was a separate performance, the opening two tracks were complemented, elevating it to a masterpiece of the "HOTTER THAN HELL Tour." This is a new masterpiece from the soundboard, a truly exceptional, full-length live album, even among early KISS. This stereo soundboard recording was taken from the second performance of the "HOTTER THAN HELL Tour," "October 18, 1974, Hammond." While the soundboard lacked the first two tracks, it was complemented by the classic pro-shot "SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 1975" from the same "HOTTER THAN HELL Tour." This is a new masterpiece expanded to a full live album. The finish, with no discernible switching points, is impressive, and the direct-mix-table sound that permeates the entire album is also powerful. Even the oldest tracks, "Got to Choose" and "Parasite," offer plenty of delicious, intense live performances. Parthenon Theatre, Hammond, IN, USA 18th October 1974 STEREO SBD UPGRADE!!! (61:16) 1.
