The "CRAZY NIGHTS Tour" completed the no-makeup KISS style of arena rock. An upgraded master has appeared on that iconic soundboard. This work includes the "August 27, 1988 Schweinfurt performance." It is a stereo soundboard recording recorded at the German performance of "MONSTERS OF ROCK," which evolved into a huge festival tour. Speaking of the "CRAZY NIGHTS Tour," it not only realized the first visit to Japan of no-makeup KISS, but also produced a mass-produced masterpiece with soundboards and pro shots from all over the world. Let's start by organizing the collection and taking a bird's-eye view of the activities at that time. 1987 ("CRAZY NIGHTS" released September 21st) November 13th - December 31st: North America #1 (31 shows) ←※PHILADELPHIA 1987 1988 January 1st - April 2nd: North America #2 (66 shows) ←※ROCHESTER 1988 April 16th - 24th: Japan (5 shows) ←※BUDOKAN 1988 and others July 4th: Swansea show August 12th + 13th: New York (2 shows) ←※RITZ 1988 and others August 16th - October 4th: Europe (23 shows) ←★Here★ This is KISS in 1987/1988. The highlight, "MONSTERS OF ROCK," was performed on the final "European" leg. However, not all performances were MOR, and the classic album "DEFINITIVE STOCKHOLM 1988" was a regular solo concert. Let's focus on the dates further, taking that into account. Details of the "European" leg: August 16th: Marquee Club performance * August 20th: "MONSTERS OF ROCK 1988 DONINGTON" * August 27th: Schweinfurt performance ←★This work★ August 28th - September 16th (3 MOR performances + 5 regular performances) * September 17th: "DEFINITIVE STOCKHOLM 1988" September 19th - October 3rd (11 performances) The highest peak soundboard master unearthed through a unique route... and so on. There were five MOR performances in total, and the rest were regular concerts. The Schweinfurt performance in this work was the stage following the holy land of Donington. This show is also known for the pro shots that were left behind, and "MONSTERS OF ROCK GERMANY 1988 UPGRADE" is extremely popular. This work is not a drop in the sound... but rather a new soundboard master brought to us through that route. The sound is super-realistic and ultra-thick, directly connected to the mix table. Since the pro shot audio was also directly connected, the mix itself may have sounded a bit off, but the raw, unprocessed performance sounds burst forth, and listening with headphones feels as if one is being carved deep into the brain with a chisel. The contours of each instrument are incredibly clear, and the sense of separation is otherworldly. The balance, with the cheers heard from the neighboring building, makes the venue experience difficult, but that's why the pleasure of having your whole body perfectly aligned with the live performance is immense. This new masterpiece, which fills in the three missing songs and updates the longest recording, is an incredibly powerful soundboard master, but it wasn't perfect. It's an incomplete recording. Therefore, this work has been supplemented with a separate soundboard, breaking the previous record for the longest time. Let's check which songs are supplemented here. 70s (5 songs + 4 songs) KISS: Deuce / Cold Gin / Black Diamond / Firehouse (★★) / Strutter (★★) Others: Love Gun / Shout It Out Loud / Rock And Roll All Nite / Detroit Rock City 80s (6 songs) CRAZY NIGHTS: No, No, No (*) / Crazy Crazy Nights Others: Fits Like A Glove (*) / Heaven's On Fire / Tears Are Falling / I Love It Loud (★) *Note: * indicates songs exclusive to the no-makeup era. ★ indicates songs supplemented with a separate soundboard. In particular, ★★ indicates songs that were not included in the leaked pro shots of the same day. Three new tracks have been added: "I Love It Loud" features a pro-shot soundboard recording from the same day, while "Firehouse" and "Strutter," which do not have soundboards, are supplemented with soundboard recordings from the previous Donington performance. Although recorded separately, the sound quality and character of the Donington recording closely resembles the Schweinfurt recording, and further mastering has been carried out for the sake of connection. While the Donington recording differs in that cheers are also recorded, there is no sense of incongruity in the performance sounds and vocals of the staff members. The "CRAZY NIGHTS Tour" was a global phenomenon, boasting its heyday even in the no-makeup era. This superb soundboard album will imprint that live performance in your mind. Based on the best master unearthed through unique routes, this new masterpiece also supplements the three missing tracks. This is a stereo soundboard recording of the "August 27, 1988: German version of MONSTERS OF ROCK" performance. This is a new master unearthed through a unique insider route, and it's a super-realistic and super-thick mix directly from the mix desk. The raw, unprocessed, unedited sound of the performance is released, and listening with headphones feels like digging deep into your brain with a chisel. The missing "I Love It Loud" is the longest version, supplemented with the same-day pro-shot audio, while "Firehouse" and "Strutter" are the longest versions, supplemented with the soundboard from the previous Donington performance.
