In 2008, KISS held their first large-scale tour in a long time, "ALIVE 35 WORLD TOUR", to commemorate the 35th anniversary of their formation. Here is a full video of the highlight performance (with the best sound board) that allows you to experience the superb view. The highlight performance is "June 13, 2008: Donington Park performance". It is a superb audience shot when they appeared at the UK's largest rock festival "DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL". KISS' first appearance at Donington was in 1988 during the MONSTERS OF ROCK era, and this work was their third sacred ground performance in their 20th anniversary. In addition, the 35th anniversary tour is also recorded in the official live album "ALIVE 35", and this work can be said to be the video version of it. In order to explain the meaning, let's look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show. 2008 March 16-22: Oceania (4 shows) May 9-June 28: Europe (30 shows) ←★Here★ August 4-31: North America #1 (4 shows) 2009 April 3-17: South America (7 shows) June 27-July 28: North America #2 (10 shows) September 25-October 5: North America #3a (8 shows) October 6th "SONIC BOOM" released October 7th-December 13th: North America #3b (39 shows) This is KISS in 2008/2009. This work is the 21st performance of "Europe" arranged in the first half of the tour. In fact, the official version "ALIVE 35" was also produced from the Stockholm performance of the "Europe" leg, and this work is the show two weeks later. This work, shot on such a stage, is an extraordinary super high quality video. As mentioned at the beginning, an official sound board is also used for the sound, but even that is only a small part of the charm. It is a spectacular view that makes you want to line up "super" in a row, and there are plenty of close-ups of the members so that you don't know the shooting position. Since it is a height where you can meet the members' eyes without looking up, there should be a reasonable distance (Donington Park has a stage at the bottom of a slope, and since it is set up like a natural coliseum, the further back you go, the higher it gets and the easier it is to see), but the zoom feels like a distance of about the 10th row. Furthermore, the stability of the tripod is outstanding. The camera is swayed left and right with the zoom so that half of Gene and Paul's bodies fill the screen, but there is no sense of camera shake. It is an amazing video that does not change the ease of viewing even when you chase the highlights intensely. This is amazing, but what's even more surprising is the separate audio. As I wrote earlier, "The sound board is also used," but in fact, in addition to the finest sound board, the original sound from the camera body is also recorded, which is also amazing sound quality. To be honest, it's like, "Which one is the sound board?" Of course, the sound of the clapping is close, and between songs, the grand applause creates a super realistic sense of presence. However, the essential performance sound and singing voice are extremely thick and close. It doesn't appear on the screen, but it's probably right next to the PA towers set up in various places in the venue. There is no reverberation component only outdoors, so the sound output is picked up directly. In terms of sound quality, it's sound board class, but the sense of presence is 100% real... In fact, it's a super delicious sound that makes you want to listen to it mainly instead of the sound board. The beauty of the image is so great that it's like experiencing the great masterpiece "ALIVE!" on the spot. In fact, it's two weeks after "ALIVE 35," so the set is very similar (the order of the songs is different). However, since this is also a video work, let's organize it by comparing it with ``ROCK THE NATION LIVE!'', which was released around the same time. ``ALIVE!'' Classics (13 songs in the main set)・KISS: Deuce/Strutter (★)/Nothin' To Lose (★)/100,000 Years/Cold Gin (★)/Black Diamond (★)・HOTTER THAN HELL: Got to Choose/Hotter Than Hell (★)/Parasite/Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll (★)・DRESSED TO KILL: C'mon And Love Me (★)/She/Rock And Roll All Nite 1976 and later (6 encore songs)・DESTROYER: Shout It Out Loud/Detroit Rock City・LOVE GUN: Love Gun・DYNASTY: I Was Made for Lovin' You・CREATURES OF THE NIGHT: I Love It Loud・LICK IT UP: Lick It Up *Note: ``★'' marks songs from ``ROCK THE NATION Songs that can't be seen on "ROCK THE NATION LIVE!" ... and so on. The selection that can't be seen on "ROCK THE NATION LIVE!" is impressive, but even more so is the show structure. The main set is based on the theme of "ALIVE!", and all songs except for the three songs "Firehouse", "Watchin' You" and "Rock Bottom" are played. The song order is also reminiscent of the historical masterpiece (although it's not a reproduction because it's not the same). In "ALIVE 35", "Cold Gin" was the encore, but in this work it is properly played in the main set. At the time, it was a hot topic at the time, and you can have the best experience of "Watch ALIVE!" with your eyes. Speaking of the DOWNLOAD festival, KISS was scheduled to appear at the 2020 edition, but the festival itself was canceled due to the influence of the corona disaster. It has been decided that they will make a revenge appearance at the 2021 edition, and their movements are attracting attention. Now, it is an ultra-excellent video work that we would like you to look back on again. It is truly "moving ALIVE!". You can choose between two sound sources: ultra-high quality audience recording and stereo sound board. Both are the best!
