The first half of the 1969 world tour was an American tour, and the second half was a European tour. Charlie Haden participated in the first half, starting from the Los Angeles performance on January 18th until the New York club, The Scene, in June, and bassist Gus Nemeth participated in the second half, from the Irish performance on August 18th to the Belgian performance on December 19th. Now, the three existing master recordings of the live performance at the jazz club "Art Dür" in Gothenburg on November 21st, which was released this time, have been remastered in 24-bit by a studio engineer to create a masterpiece with an exceptionally good sound quality. This recording was released in the 2000s and circulated among traders. Since the recording was made without any modification to the recording source, which was treated as an antique at the time, there was a hiss noise that was difficult to listen to throughout the first and second discs, and the sound image balance of each song was also inconsistent, so only a few core enthusiasts were able to obtain it. If you think about it, it's inevitable since it was recorded half a century ago. Now, times have changed and this year, even higher quality sound sources have begun to circulate among traders. The Definitive Edition that you will listen to this time is mainly recorded from that source. The 2022 remaster has suppressed hiss noise to the utmost, and the sound image is simply amazing, with no stress. The important point is that the mid-range and treble ranges, which were hardly heard in the old title, have been naturally finished and have a clean sound. The live data has also been changed, and it is now true that the live was held on the 21st or 22nd, not November 29th. This is also listed in Paul Motian's database. This time, a famous overseas sound source enthusiast has made it the first day of the live performance, so we have followed that date. Incidentally, November 29th will be a live performance in Stavangen, Norway. You can also enjoy the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun" and Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay," which was performed as the final song and is no exaggeration to say is the highlight of the concert. The tracklist has also been revised this time at the request of enthusiastic fans.
