This is a live recording of the Keith Standers Trio, an amazing high-quality live performance with the best sound except for the sound board, and of course, this is the first time it has appeared, so if you are not a Keith fan but a fan of the piano jazz trio, you can do anything. The trio's last great performance, which you should listen to on their 30th anniversary, has finally been released! ! The Keith Standers Trio's 30th anniversary (and almost their last year as a trio) was held in 2013, the last of 18 performances, on October 4th in California. A complete 2-hour recording of the live performance at Zellerbach Hall at the University of California, Berkeley, with the label's own careful mastering, including two encore songs, in extremely high-quality stereo sound that you could mistake it for a soundboard. An amazing 2-disc set has arrived! ! For 30 years since their formation in 1983, Keith, Gary Peacock, and Jack Dee have reigned as the pinnacle of modern piano trios, continuing to convey the essence and joy of jazz to people all over the world through originals and standards. 2013 was the culmination of three masters called Johnette. By the way, here in Japan, the last performances of the trio were held in Tokyo and Osaka. This performance, which is almost the final performance in 2013, the official final year of the trio (although they performed two performances in 2014), is a masterpiece that can be said to be the culmination of this trio, and Keith and Peacock will be in the space. As the creative improvisation was brought out through interplay that took advantage of this, the triangular beginnings gradually became more heated as the distinctive cymbal work and DeJohnette's drums, which seemed to be having a conversation, became involved. He draws and spins a trio performance that keeps one step ahead from start to finish, eventually developing into a rich improvisational art...Adding new interpretations to famous jazz standards, it is as if it were an original work by this trio. The method is nothing short of a new trio jazz. In fact, the trio's original works are also performed, but it's hard to tell the difference between them. Here is a performance that can only be performed when all elements are perfect, such as sensitivity, taste, and mutual trust that cannot be expressed with technique alone! ! Lastly, I would like to introduce the songs that were played on this day. "Django", "Hallucinations", "You've Changed", "G Blues", "Fever", "Answer Me My Love", "Is It Really The Same", "Stella By Starlight", "Things" "Ain't What They Used to Be" "Blame It on My Use" "I'm a Fool to Want You" Encore "When I Fall in Love" "God・Press the Child” Whether you cry or laugh, this is (almost) the last performance of the Standards Trio. A once-in-a-generation masterpiece that is filled with all of their 30 years of history, perfectly captured in the highest quality sound.
