An audience album containing two co-starring live performances by Keith Emerson, Glenn Hughes, and Mark Bonilla, who was also "Keith's partner in his later years", is now available as a gift title. The three of them performed together in California in 1998. Or rather, it was during a special live show where only 5 performances were held. The official version “BOYS CLUB - LIVE FROM CALIFORNIA” has also been released, but of course this work is a separate performance. First, let's check the positions of those 5 performances. ・January 16, 1998: San Juan Capistrano performance ・January 17, 1998: Hollywood performance ・January 30, 1998: Los Angeles performance [This work] ・May 14, 1998: Santa Cruz performance [ [This work] May 15, 1998: San Francisco performance *Official version These five performances vary depending on the venue, with some performed under Mark's name and others featuring Keith, but in reality they are performed by Mark and his band DRAGON CHOIR. is the main axis. It's a style where Keith and Glenn make guest appearances. There's no need to be disappointed and wonder, "What a guest appearance?" Its feature level far exceeds that of a mere guest, and there are plenty of solo numbers by EL&P and Glenn. It is a live show where the two legendary people explode their characteristics with Mark & DRAGON CHOIR in the background. The quality is a high quality audience that is transcendent. The first thing that will appear is the full live performance of the main “May 14th San Francisco performance” of this work. If the quality is amazing and there is no vivid audience, if the next day “May 15th” is not made official, it is so direct that you would think it was a sound board. Moreover, each particle of musical tone is super clear so that it shines. You might think, "But the next day is the official version, right?" However, the official version had a disappointing result due to the messy editing that changed the order of the songs. On the other hand, this work allows you to enjoy a full show with 100% naturalness and ultra-high quality audience sound that rivals the official one. The show, drawn with such quality, opened with Mark's terrifyingly cool "After Burner." Then, “that” siren rang out, tearing through the world of Gary Moore's crying instrumental “Long Journey Home,” and “Hoedown” began! Keith's fingertips were sharp and sharp as he appeared, exploding with ferocious speed and smooth fingering reminiscent of his heyday. There were some live shows where the slump was noticeable from around the latter half of the reunion of EL&P, but the performance of this work is brilliant, as if declaring a complete revival. And the new interpretation is extremely cool! When the unison guitars on the main theme break out, country-style super-fast cutting explodes, and the blues harp is also involved, creating a completely new version of "Hoedown." That neat thing! This is a wonderful version that concentrates and increases the highlights while taking care of Keith's character, who never forgot his sense of humor even in EL&P. The following song, “Nutrocker,” also features a dramatic intro and a flowing guitar that sounds like the beginning of a Tuesday suspense theater. Although it is a heavy version of the main theme with overlapping piano and guitar, Keith's fingertips run smoothly everywhere. After listening to Keith's solo performance of ``Close To Home,'' ``Honky Tonk Train Blues,'' and ``Creole Dance,'' as well as a thrilling battle with Mark, he introduced Keith as ``The Voice of Rock'n Roll.'' The last main character to be played, Glenn Hughes, appears. Covers of PROCOL HARUM and THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND make the voice of God roar to the fullest, but the most powerful one is "Tarkus"! While cherishing the original, Keith adds a jazz flavor, Mark & DRAGON CHOIR adds solidity, and Glenn adds divinity with his gentle voice and climax with his aggressive shout. “Tarkus” is a profound and magnificent song that condenses the meaning of these three people standing together and adds new charm. Absolutely, absolutely wonderful to have.... I have written this at length, but this is still Disc 1. In addition to the new interpretations of "Fanfare For The Common Man" and "Rondo," the second disc contains six additional songs from one more performance, "January 30th Los Angeles Performance." This Los Angeles performance is also a super high-quality audience that is as good as the main Santa Cruz performance. In any case, Keith is in top form, and while respecting his individuality to the fullest, the arrangement is innovative, and the gorgeous "Tarkus". This is a record that records all of the great performances worthy of being called "the best since EL&P" with ultra-high quality sound. In April 2016, we were supposed to meet Keith again alongside Mark. I almost said the words over and over again, but I swallowed the words, ``If only you wouldn't give up on living...'' But only once. Just say those words once this weekend and I'll send him away. To those who share these thoughts. I would like to present this work that shined the best with Mark.
