Described by the New York Times as "jazz's most agile virtuoso, a guitarist of unwavering technical ability and boundless curiosity," and with tickets said to be among the most difficult to obtain, he performed at the SF Jazz Center in San Francisco on May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, 2025. On the first day, the 21st, he performed an acoustic duet with bassist Jorge Roeder, and on the second day, the 22nd, he switched to electric guitar for a live quartet performance. These performances were recorded with stunningly high-quality sound. There's no trace of distance, and the details are astounding, down to the subtle scraping of fingers across wound strings.
