During the band introductions, Judith's father, Robert Lee "Pee Wee" Hill, who played bass in bands with Billy Preston, Sly, and Chaka Khan, features a slap bass solo, followed by an organ solo from Judith's mother, Michiko Hill. Judith, on guitar, then displays her virtuoso guitar chops on "I Want To Take You Higher." The album continues with "Gypsy Woman," reminiscent of Rufus' "You Got The Love," and "Frame," a down-to-earth funk-rock track that would make Jimi Hendrix jealous. The album then moves on to the lively, upbeat "We Are The Power," followed by a slow, soothing "Burn It All." Judith performs "Give Your Love to Someone Else" on piano alone, then switches to guitar, reminiscent of Wendy's guitar intro to "Purple Rain," demonstrating her dexterity. Runaway Train, especially its bluesy funk, is thrilling. The momentum builds even further, launching into the long-awaited, intense funk of "The Pepper Club." The band's unified jam in the second half is electrifying. Judith's impressive playing is evident on piano for the Prince-produced "Angel in the Dark" and guitar for "Cry, Cry, Cry."
