This work is truly a shocking video! This work is a video of JUDAS PRIEST's official live show "LIVE VENGEANCE '82", a masterpiece of the music genre "HEAVY METAL", overlaid with a different mixed audio. The performance and video are exactly the same, but only the drums and vocals have been extracted to the extreme. Multi-tracks of each part are often leaked from studio albums, but it may be easier to imagine if you think of it as a full-scale live version. When I played it back, I could hardly hear the guitar and bass (even if I could hear it, it was far away and subdued), and a heroic voice exploded on the beat of the tom and bass drum!! Since the performance sound was extremely low, only the flavor of the voice was heard. The more you understand, the more clearly it is conveyed. This is a title that you should enjoy with headphones, but please be careful with the volume. If you turn up the volume too much just because the performance is small, you'll get an overly intense scream that will hit you in the head (be careful with "Screaming For Vengeance"!). Moreover, the owner of that voice is Rob Halford, who is in his prime and is about to conquer the United States. K.K.'s downing high notes that made you wonder, "How many octaves does that guy have?" are in top form, and the long tones that stretch forever produce subtlety with exquisite control even within the height. Of course, the explosive tune is powerful, but the chorus of “Desert Plains” continues with a vivid high tone that excites the audience! In addition, there are plenty of imaginative "vocal techniques" in the wild 70's songs such as "Sinner" and "The Ripper." Just when you think he's approaching something wild with his hoarse voice, the next moment he speaks with a thud, and this time he speaks in a smooth voice, and a sudden scream cuts through the air. On the other hand, in "Devil's Child," Rob howls freely and performs as if he's never heard a studio melody. In live performances, it is clear that rather than beautifully reproducing studio melodies, he performs spontaneously by sensing the atmosphere and audience of the place. Rob is not what you would call a singer, but a vocalist who truly controls his voice!!Rob is not the only one. In parts without singing, such as guitar solos and riffs, it's really just the drums, but Dave Holland's beat that can be heard there is also delicious. To put it bluntly, it's just a simple beat, but the groove is surprisingly rich and far from the image of "metal = inorganic." Although the band has continued to change drummers throughout its long history, I now realize (even now) that they were looking for more than just a skilled drummer. There are also some hidden ways to enjoy this work. In the vocal part, the sound of the string instruments can be heard in the distance (is it being picked up by the vocal microphone?), but in the part that seems to be a replacement, only Rob's vocals are heard. For example, in "Victim Of The Changes", even though Glenn and Rob share the microphone in the video, only Rob's voice is heard (on the contrary, in "Hell Bent For Leather", you can hear the voices of the two). Furthermore, the volume is finely adjusted in the interaction scene between Rob and the audience, and even though it is a live performance, you can clearly see how meticulous work is repeated to create the work. If you are a JUDAS PRIEST maniac, wouldn't it be interesting to analyze the behind the scenes of the production of the definitive masterpiece "LIVE VENGEANCE '82"? Speaking of ``LIVE VENGEANCE '82,'' it is a ``metal textbook'' that people even say, ``If you want to know what metal music is, watch this.'' This work, which extracts only that "voice", allows you to fully enjoy the "textbook of metal vocals". Why is Rob a metal icon? How well can he sing? What exactly is heavy metal vocals? It answers all of your questions with such clarity. You can enjoy "LIVE VENGEANCE '82" in a fresh way, even though you may have seen it hundreds of times, and if you search for the depth, it's one that is endlessly deep.
