A soundboard album that compiles 1978 BBC sessions and radio broadcasts of American performances! First, tracks 1-5 are studio live performances from the BBC program "Radio 1". The recording was on "October 23, 1978" and the broadcast was on "October 28". After finishing the "STAINED CLASS TOUR" at their Japan performance in August 1978, they returned to London and immediately began working on a new album, completing "HELL BENT FOR LEATHER" the following September. The album was released on October 9th, and this BBC broadcast was recorded as the first live performance on the day before the tour. Therefore, as a tour, it is counted as "X CERTIFICATE TOUR", but as a live performance, it is the performance that is "next" to their first performance in Japan. The sound is different from other broadcasts. It was recorded on a reel from the broadcast, and overseas enthusiasts were excited, saying "Isn't this pre-FM?" It's an official level without question... or rather, it's a sound that makes you feel guilty that it's not officially out. The remastered version of "HELL BENT FOR LEATHER" included the unfinished take and live performance of "SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE" as bonuses, but no matter how you look at it, this live performance should be included... Anyway, back to the point. Although it's a live performance with an audience in the studio, you can enjoy the effects and MC with a super sound that hits you right in the ears! The following tracks 6-12 are from the WMMS RADIO STATION broadcast of "May 7th Cleveland" from the US tour prior to their first performance in Japan. JUDAS PRIEST's first professional recording was the "April 25th, 1975 OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST" video (also included in the official DVD "ELECTRIC EYE"), which was recorded immediately after Glenn joined, but this broadcast is the next vintage recording. This is a live performance in which the three songs "Beyond the Realms of Death", "White Heat, Red Hot" and "Starbreaker" were also released as single B-sides. Although the date is before the BBC session, we recorded it in the second half so that you can listen to the extremely clear sound of the BBC first. As expected, the sound is one level lower than the first half, but it is still completely A-rank at the bootleg level. If you combine this work with the broadcast of the Japan tour, you can collect the 1978 sound board all at once. It's cool to listen to and a delicious one to collect.
