The release of the best video collection centered on the out-of-print clip collection "THE VIDEO COLLECTION" has been decided. There are three types of video in this work, all of which are professional shots of the highest quality. Let's take a look at the contents. [Interview on the day of death] First, the interview that appears at the beginning was conducted on the day of his death. It was a program broadcast in Japan, recorded by a core domestic recording enthusiast. The image quality is abnormal and can be used exactly like the official DVD. In the voice of the day of his death, he said, "(My work in music) won't end until I die and am buried in the earth, and I hope that will be a long, long way from now," and the sound effect of "(Just Like) Starting Over" resonates like a bell of requiem... Both the interview and the lyrics of "(Just Like) Starting Over" are subtitled in Japanese, and it is an introduction that directly penetrates John's feelings into the heart. [Clip Collection: THE VIDEO COLLECTION] Next is the official video "THE VIDEO COLLECTION," which is the main part of this work. Speaking of John's clip collection, there is the current official DVD "LENNON LEGEND", but this work was released before that. It was meticulously digitized from a "Japanese laser disc" treasured by the same core collector as the interview video at the beginning, and is a masterpiece of the highest quality ever. Of course, the reason it was digitized in this way is because the content is different from "LENNON LEGEND". Clips for 19 songs are included, but only two songs, "Woman" and "Imagine (Live)", are the same as "LENNON LEGEND", and "I'm Stepping Out" and "Grow Old With Me" can only be seen in this work. The other songs overlap, but there are still differences, big and small. Let's classify them as follows: ●Those with different performances: "Instant Karma!", "Stand by Me" ●Those with different video materials: "Give Peace A Chance", "Cold Turkey", "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)", "Mind Games", "#9 Dream", "(Just Like) Starting Over", "Nobody Told Me", "Borrowed Time", "Jealous Guy" ●Those with slightly different lengths or audio mixes: "Power To The People", "Whatever Gets You Thru The Night", "Imagine" ...The differences vary from those that you won't notice unless you check closely to those that are completely different, but most of them are different versions. In addition, at the beginning of each song, there is a handwritten video of John and a comment in his voice, with Japanese subtitles. Even if the clips are difficult to tell the difference from, you can feel John's presence even closer to you. [MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW] It seems that he appeared on the TV program "MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW" at the end. This was a popular program that ran for 21 years from 1961 to 1982, and featured a wide range of musicians and bands, including THE KINKS, JAMES BROWN, MARVIN GAYE, FRANK ZAPPA, THE BAY CITY ROLLERS, and many others. This work mainly includes performance scenes from the episode in which John and Yoko appeared for a week in February 1972. This is also the Japanese broadcast version, and the official-grade video beauty was digitized from the same core mania collection. Eight songs will be performed, from "It's So Hard" sung by John with his legs spread apart to "Sakura Sakura" sung by Yoko in Japanese, but the most notable is his collaboration with Check Berry. The collaboration of the two songs "Memphis Tennessee" and "Johnny B. Goode" is a must-see, but it seems that this was the first time that John and Check met, and John's expression when he excitedly introduces the song is wonderful, saying, "'Chuck Berry' is another name for rock and roll. In the 1950s, his music was loved by all generations. The message is 'Long live rock and roll.'" Not only the talk, but even the lyrics are subtitled in Japanese. The DVD contains a variety of versions different from the official DVD "LENNON LEGEND," as well as a heartwarming interview with his voice and a rare TV performance. This is an excellent DVD that allows you to immerse yourself in John's footsteps for 1 hour and 53 minutes.
