The release of the best video that allows you to experience his recent solo activities with your own eyes has been decided. This work was filmed at the "Athens performance on April 13, 2014". It is a live performance from three years ago, but it is an audience shot that was just released in 2017. Although I wrote "audience shot", the quality of this work is completely different from what you would imagine with so-called "audience shot". It was shot directly in front of the center of the stage, from the second floor balcony seats (probably the front row), but the image quality and stability are at an abnormal level. Although it is an audience shot because it was released by the photographer himself, I can only think, "Isn't it a one-camera professional shot of the venue setup?" Looking directly at the stage from far above the heads of the first floor customers, there are plenty of zooms to see. If you get close to Joe, his expression fills the screen, and if you get close to the guitar, you can see his hands clearly. Moreover, the way the camera approaches and swings is smooth, and it seems that he is using a tripod. In addition, the digital image quality is the ultimate beauty of the image, "After all, it's a pro shot...". What accelerates such a feeling is the superb sound. There is no sense of distance from each picking, each drum hit, and even Joe's vocals, and it seems to be a line recording... Although the voices of the audience singing the masterpieces of DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW are also absorbed, Joe's thick singing voice and the band's performance dominate the venue, and if you say "It's a sound board", you will believe it. The solo live drawn with such quality is a fun Blackmore paradise. Of course, it has nothing to do with Richie himself, but the masterpieces he has written continue to be played out with a lot of love. The band that seems to be locally sourced seems to be a little inexperienced, but there is no doubt that he has continued to love DEEP PURPLE / RAINBOW. The repertoire is a balance of seven Joe's originals, five Gillan's, two Ronnie's, and two third-period Purple songs, with no Joe solos. To be honest, I would like to say, "Have more confidence in your solos!", but it would be impossible for a local band, and this is Joe's way of life, so there's no way around it. In fact, it's a show full of thorough "FUN" that ignores solos. And the biggest point of this work is that you can witness Joe singing at such a show. We have reported on Joe's solos in masterpieces such as "SAO PAULO 2010 SOUNDBOARD", "GOT THE POWER IN CLIFTON (2013)", and "DALLAS 2016", all of which are of the highest quality, and live albums. I could only imagine what he looked like. And Joe, as projected in this work, is full of energy. His singing voice, which has become thicker since becoming a solo, continues to sing without weakening from beginning to end, and his action is just like in his heyday. At one of his performances in Japan, he was speechless at his rounded belly, but here he is in perfect shape. His tough singing voice is so wonderful that it makes you think, "Is this actually the best time to be a rock singer?" In fact, he was 62 years old at this time, and he shows off his incredible ability to keep his voice even though there are singers of his generation who rely on young choruses (that's why I want him to make his last solo flower bloom...). In addition to the full solo show, this work also includes a bonus video of OVER THE RAINBOW. This is an audience shot from the "Patra performance on June 9, 2010", which is also in Greece. Although the stability and angle are not as good as the miraculous main part, it is a shot from the left side of the stage, and you can witness three songs with a vivid and beautiful special audience shot. This was four years before the main part, and the band is much more professional... but in fact the main part is better. The reason for this is Joe himself. Although his songs "Street Of Dreams" and "I Surrender" are great, Ronnie's "Kill The King" feels a little harsh. In comparison, in the main solo performance four years later, he sings "Man On The Silver Mountain" and "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" toughly, and his appearance and movements are youthful. It is impossible to say for sure from picking up one night at a time, but it seems that he has rejuvenated or evolved in the past four years. What is Joe like now, three years after the main performance? The main solo performance is so great that it even makes you feel strange expectations. Although it is a live performance from three years ago, Joe is still the same... no, it is a piece that makes you happy to see and hear his tough and wild rock singer-like appearance and singing voice. Putting aside the dream story of his solo re-emergence, I want to see him live again, even if he is a "DEEP PURPLE/RAINBOW evangelist". I want to hear it. This is a superb video that makes such feelings come out. This weekend, enjoy an evening of "Blackmore Music" delivered by Joe in the finest quality.
