Joe Jackson came to Japan in 1986 with his experimental masterpiece "BIG WORLD", which was recorded entirely live. The phantom official video that recorded the scene has been decided to be released. This work contains the performance "October 21, 1986: Nakano Sun Plaza". This show was recorded with multiple cameras and officially released as "LIVE IN TOKYO". It was also released on DVD in the United States nearly 20 years ago, but it has long since gone out of print. It has become a phantom now. This work is a meticulous reproduction of such official footage. The quality is, of course, of perfect official grade... or rather, it is so beautiful that it is hard to believe it is a 1986 video. In the analog era, even if it is an official work, it is not uncommon for the image quality and sound to be sweet, but this work is not limited to that. Although the screen is a little dark, it is only a stage production. Each member who appears in the spotlight has a clear outline, and the color and resolution are extremely beautiful. It is beautiful and stylish even in light of modern digital standards. Of course, the sound is also the best stereo sound board. The mix and mastering are perfect as official works. This also has a wide range of official standards, from bad to famous, but this work is definitely a famous sound quality. It is a highly complete sound that even exudes aesthetics. And the stage depicted by the beautiful images is wonderful. The show is divided into five sections, and while the representative songs up to that point are scattered, the axis is clearly the "BIG WORLD" repertoire. 11 of the 15 songs on the album are generously played. Moreover, the contents are particularly rich. Of course, the representative songs "Home Town" and "Right & Wrong" were played repeatedly afterwards, but there were also plenty of "Wild West", "(It's A) Big World", "Shanghai Sky", "Survival", "Soul Kiss", "Tonight And Forever", and "Man In The Street" that were only available on this tour. Of course, the original "BIG WORLD" was a live performance, but the experimental work was recorded in a special environment, such as asking the audience to be quiet and regulating the timing of applause, even though it was a live album. Although it was a one-take recording of a live performance, the mood and style were different from the original show. In that respect, this work is a genuine concert stage. Japanese Western music fans in the 1980s do not disturb the performance, but enjoy the music without thinking and give honest applause. The breathing between the band and the audience is natural, and you can enjoy the stage performance as it is supposed to be with a view. Of course, the past repertoire is also great. There are no repertoires from "BEAT CRAZY", but representative songs are selected from all other works. At the same time as this work, the comprehensive live album "LIVE 1980/86" was also released, but "One More Time" that cannot be heard there is also performed. "BIG WORLD" to watch with your eyes, "BIG WORLD" naturally. On top of that, the show also summarizes the career up to that point. This is a piece that allows you to see such a performance in Japan with a multi-camera pro shot. It is such a masterpiece that you hesitate to lightly settle it as "official class".
