Joan Jett and THE BLACKHEARTS were all the rage in the 80s. For some reason, a multi-camera pro shot from the heyday that even features David Lee Roth has been decided to be released. This work was filmed at the New York performance on December 31, 1984. The latest work at the time, “GLORIOUS RESULTS OF A MISSPENT YOUTH”, was released on October 1st, so the stage was three months after that. This day was not a regular tour, but an appearance at MTV's New Year's Eve countdown event. This work is a DVD version of that TV broadcast. The quality of this work is also excellent. It seems like an air check, and the pixels have a sweetness typical of 80's analog broadcasting, but the master freshness is outstanding. There are no dubbing marks, tape twists, or white line noise, and the colors are vivid and show no signs of deterioration over time. The video is so beautiful that it makes you wonder if it has never been played back in the 34 years since it was recorded. The show drawn with that quality is full of the scent of the 1980s. Joan, who was 26 years old, roared punkishly in a leopard-print costume that looked like the sexy artwork for ``GLORIOUS RESULTS OF A MISSPENT YOUTH.'' Ricky Bird in a regent and purple jacket, and Gary Ryan with fluffy hair were also on stage. Narrow and rampage. The best set is selected evenly from all works from “BAD REPUTATION” to “GLORIOUS RESULTS OF A MISSPENT YOUTH”. The audience exudes a sense of the 80's even more than the girls. Speaking of MTV at the time, it was just entering its third year of operation and was making great strides. The band gradually expanded its range from video and clip broadcasts when it first opened, and began holding and broadcasting its own live shows. The audience gathered at the MTV event was a strange mix of cosplay, tuxedos, and dresses. Joan looks more normal in her stage costume, and it feels like a circus and a Grammy Awards are being held at the same time. It is in the middle of the show that such a bubbly scene explodes. After finishing "Crimson And Clover," Joan left the stage and was replaced by Martha Quinn, who suddenly became popular on MTV. The countdown to 1985 begins with her sound. And as soon as the count reaches zero, the venue explodes, but at that moment (for some reason) Diamond Dave appears! Just like in the PV, female bodybuilders in white bikinis follow and take control of the party at once. What's funny is that Dave didn't just sing one song and liven things up as much as he could, he left without making a single comment. I was overwhelmed by how Dave caused such a fuss just by showing up, and I felt like poking fun at him and asking, ``Did you just come here to play with me?'' It's a lost scene that shows off the power of MTV in its early days. After that, Joan and the others returned to the stage and continued the show as if nothing had happened. Another must-see scene is "He's A Rebel". It's a valuable cover of THE CRYSTALS, but even more so is guest Darren Love. Joan will be performing a duet with a veteran ``backing vocalist'' who has also participated in works by Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and the Beach Boys. A collaboration of soulful singing voices and wild shouts that makes you feel uncomfortable. The momentum of MTV in the 1980s is exploding due to its bold casting. Joan Jett was a symbol of female rockers in the 1980s. It is not only the best professional shot, but also a masterpiece video packed with Diamond Dave's rare scene and the momentum of MTV that was making people talk. When I tried to look back on the Heisei era, which is almost over, I ended up going too far and ended up in the Showa era... That's what this time machine pro shot looks like.
