Just before Page & Plant's tour of Japan in February 1996, the one-hour special program "Zeppelin's Resurrection" was broadcast on a commercial TV station. It was released on DVD directly from a high-quality recording video master with no tracking noise, which is released by enthusiasts. Most of the materials used are familiar, but the program, which is uniquely edited and has a structure that is typical of the time, is fun and worth watching in many ways, and fans will be captivated in no time. Even though Page & Plant came to Japan, the program title "Zeppelin's Resurrection" is impressive, and in a sense, it can be said that it is typical of the time that a music program with such a rich content could be planned and broadcast on a regular commercial TV program before their visit to Japan. I'm sure that most of our customers were watching this program 16 years ago, and were excited about the upcoming Japan tour of Page & Plant. In the commercials that are occasionally inserted, the schedule of the six Budokan shows is repeatedly broadcast, and although the 9th and 12th of February are sold out, tickets for the 5th, 6th, 8th, and 13th are still available (with the comment "The Tokyo performance of Page & Plant is coming up soon! We have prepared tickets for four shows specially for this program"). In addition to this, the commercials between songs are recorded as they are without cutting them, so this is also a fun piece that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the time. The comments of the slightly over-excited presenter and guests are also fun. You can also watch the cover band "Stairway to Heaven" in the middle. After tracing the history of Zeppelin in the first half, Plant and Page's solo activities from the 1980s to the early 1990s are introduced with promotional videos, and it can be said that this is also a time when they are featured firmly on TV. (To be honest, these days, the traces of their activities in the 1980s and early 1990s are treated (very) coldly by bootleg fans (around the world), so it's really refreshing to see them featured like this.) In addition to the familiar Zeppelin live footage, there are many professional shot live videos of Page & Plant, starting with the Irvine performance in October 1995, and focusing mainly on the latter half of the performance. As mentioned above, the image and sound quality are very good, so even now in 2012, you can enjoy it with no problems at all. At the end, you can see a message from Page & Plant to their Japanese fans, recorded before their visit to Japan, saying, "See you in February. Let's have fun together at the concert." (Plant looks cool with his hair slicked back and sunglasses like Axel, while Page has a strange hairstyle.) The quality is guaranteed by the provider of "Stones 1990 Tokyo Local Broadcast Edition," which was released last week and has been well received by deep enthusiasts! This is a record that will take you back to late January 1996. Highly recommended. JIMMY PAGE & ROBERT PLANT - JAPAN TV SPECIAL 1996 "Zeppelin's Resurrection" 1. CM 2. Intro "Zep Is Back" 3. MC 4.
