A high-quality complete recording of the 1995 SRV tribute concert! Recently, we released a high-quality digest of the Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute concert held in Austin, Texas on May 12, 1995, from a DAT master provided by a veteran taper in the UK who is well known for Eric Clapton's secret recordings, "Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute Concert 1995: DAT Master (1CD)". The sound quality far exceeds that of previous releases, and it has been well received. This time, we have obtained a DAT master from another taper that completely recorded this concert in high-quality stereo audience recording! It is a 3-CD set, and is thought to be the original master of the previously released "The Night After the SRV Tribute" listed on the Clapton bootleg evaluation site Geetarz. The sound quality rating of the previously released version on this site was "Aud 3", which means "average", but the master of this work is a DAT copy of the original master, so it far exceeds that. In other words, you can enjoy the whole picture of this concert with the best sound quality ever. If this work is published on Geetarz, it will be given "Aud 5", which represents the highest score of audience recording. As a full-length version of this concert, it is the best sound quality and easiest to listen to. The official release is a live version of the concert held the day before, and the name of the next day was "Jimmie Vaughan and Friends". The purpose was the same as the day before, but the set list on this day seemed to be more frank and had the intention of enjoying blues. The performers were the same as the day before, and it was a valuable concert where you could hear the collaboration of elite guitarists representing the blues world at that time, including Clapton. The performance by Jimmie Vaughan's band is recorded up to the first half of the set, I Like It Like That. After the set, the first guest, Robert Cray, was invited in. From there, guest guitarists joined in succession, and Clapton participated from Reconsider Baby to the end. This year, Clapton focused on the "Nothin' But the Blues Tour" that had been continuing since the previous year. Let's take a look at where this concert was located in the tour schedule. <NOTHIN' BUT THE BLUES TOUR> September 28, 1994: Tour rehearsal footage recorded at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. This was later broadcast in the United States, Europe, and Japan. October 3rd to November 4th: US Arena Tour November 7th to November 28th: US Club Tour I 1995 February 15th to March 7th: UK Tour April 5th to May 5th: European Tour May 11th and 12th: Participated in the memorial concert for the late Stevie Ray Vaughan held in Austin, Texas, USA ←★This work★ August 28th to September 24th: US Arena Tour II October 1st to October 13th: Japan Tour A dream collaboration between famous blues guitarists with ties to S.R.V.! For Clapton, the death of his young son in 1991, the "unplugged" show he took on afterwards, led him to once again pursue the spirituality of the blues. This tour was his answer. It can be said that this tour embodied Clapton's stoicism as a "seeker." I participated in this concert right after the 1995 European tour, when the tour was reaching its climax. It can be said that Clapton's sincere attitude towards blues was maintained even in this concert to commemorate his ally S.R.V., who could be said to have died for the blues, because it was at this timing. Clapton was featured in Reconsider Baby and Third Degree, which were also included in the set list of the "Nothin' But the Blues Tour", and he showed off his solid and passionate playing. Next, Sweet Home Chicago and I Can't Quit You Baby, featuring Buddy Guy, were played, and you can enjoy Buddy's extreme speed playing and wild playing. From here, the all-stars performed together, and Who's To Blame (aka Same Thing) featuring Robert Cray was played. This number was not included in the "Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute Concert 1995: DAT Master" released by our store recently, so it is valuable. The following song, Further On Up The Road, is Clapton's first performance in two years since 1993, but he shares vocals with Buddy and plays a stable solo. Clapton also features vocals on Let Me Love You Baby, which is connected by a medley, and it is clear that he was treated equally with Buddy. From this point on, you can hear solo performances with Buddy Guy, his compatriot and S.R.V.'s real brother Jimmie Vaughan, and his junior Robert Cray, and in Clapton's specialty Early In The Morning, you can hear a tremendous solo battle with Buddy. This is worth a listen. In I Can't Judge Nobody, you can enjoy the solo rotation of the four players, but since each player is full of individuality, you can also enjoy the difference in the playing nuances with Clapton. In addition, the all-star joint performance Six Strings Down, which was not included in "Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute Concert 1995: DAT Master (1CD)", will be performed. By this point, all the players are at their peak and it's a great listen. And at the end, there's the all-star jam, Shuffle. As Clapton researcher Mark Roberti's book "Eric Clapton Complete Record 1983-2016" notes in the session section, "The jam was great," you can hear the four of them performing even more amazing solos on this day. This is also a must-listen. I hope you can feel Clapton's careful and soulful play even on a flashy stage with a lot of sound from this work. There are many numbers that can only be heard in this work, which are not played in the official memorial concert video and audio media.
