In 1980, Jeff Beck embarked on his last world tour of his heyday, accompanied by virtuoso Simon Phillips, Tony Hymas, and Moe Foster. A shocking new excavation album conveying his overseas performances has been released. This work is engraved with the "South Yarmouth performance on October 11, 1980". It is a superb audience recording. The best recordings of the "THERE & BACK" era were concentrated on Japanese performances, but our shop has archived as many masterpiece live albums as possible of overseas performances. First of all, let's organize our collection with an overview of our activities at that time and approach the position of this work. 1980 (June release of "THERE & BACK") August 29-September 15: North America #1 (12 performances) ←*SAN DIEGO 1980 and others October 1-19: North America #2 (15 performances) ←★Here★ December 4-18: Japan (11 performances) 1981 March 4-10: UK (5 performances) This is Jeff Beck in 1980/1981. The US tour before coming to Japan was divided into two parts with a two-week off, and the South Yarmouth performance in this work was one act of the latter "North America #2". Here, let's focus on the schedule further, as it is also a prolific area of famous recordings. Details of "North America #2" ・October 1st-9th (7 performances) *October 11th: South Yarmouth performance ←★This work★ ・October 12th (1st): New York performance *October 12th (2nd) "DEFINITIVE PALLADIUM 1980" ・October 14th + 15th (2 performances) *October 16th "DETROIT 1980" ・October 17th-19th (3 performances) The above "DEFINITIVE PALLADIUM 1980" and "DETROIT 1980" were masterpieces that represented "North America #2", and the situation is the same for "North America #1". This work is a foreign recording that has finally appeared, and it is a masterpiece that sweeps away such already released groups. In fact, the sound is shocking. Despite the fact that the recording has not been made into a sound board, let alone its existence, it is a magnificent sound board class ... no, it is "completely official class". It's probably an audience because it was digitized from the newly excavated 2nd generation cassette, but the sound doesn't have the nuance of a customer record. The core is extremely thick, the separation is wonderful, and the details are super fine. Between songs, there are huge applause, but even that is neat and vast like an FM broadcast. In many cases, overseas recordings are plagued by noisy audience noise even if the musical tone is good, but this work doesn't even have that. "Does the sound sound like an audience? No, this is common even in FM broadcasts..." I listened to it while searching for evidence of the customer record with all my might, but I couldn't be sure. In the fourth song, "The Pump," I heard a little applause from the nearby seats, and finally I was convinced that "is it really an audience?"... It's a superb sound of such a dimension. Such a super sound depicts a full show that sums up the fusion era. Let's organize the set here. There and Back (6 songs) Star Cycle / El Becko (★) / Too Much To Lose (★) / The Pump / Space Boogie / You Never Know Others (8 songs) Blow by Blow: Cause We've Ended As Lovers / Freeway Jam (*) / Diamond Dust / Scatterbrain Wired: Led Boots / Blue Wind / Goodbye Pork Pie Hat Jeff Beck Group: Going Down *Note: The "★" mark is a limited edition song only for this tour. The "*" mark is a song that was not performed in North America #1. ... and so on. Other than "Going Down", it is a concentrated reduction of the instrumental trilogy. The set itself is the same as the Japanese performance, and "Freeway Jam", which was not performed in "North America #1", has been added. It is even more comprehensive. And the performance that spells out such a set is amazing. He has already reached the level of ironclad with Tony Hymas/Simon Phillips, who he has been working with since the previous year, and he is completely familiar with Moe Foster after "North America #1". Moreover, after a two-week break, he is no longer tired, and after eight performances, his engine is at full throttle. Furthermore, he is fueled by the American-like enthusiasm and gets excited. All the conditions overlap well, and it is a great performance that was meant to be. Although the mood is different from that of the taut Japan, it is fun, but it has not reached the level of permanent preservation until now. It is a new masterpiece that puts an end to that history and allows you to fully experience the precious scene with a sound that is so good that you will be mistaken for an official work. It is a live album that is truly worthy of being called a cultural heritage. A superb audience recording of "South Yarmouth performance on October 11, 1980". It is a newly excavated master that has not been known until now, with a very thick core, a wonderful sense of separation, and super fine details. The best recordings from the "THERE & BACK" era were concentrated in Japan, but this work is finally an overseas recording. It is the best masterpiece of the overseas edition, where the performances are exciting in a mood different from that of the tense Japan.
