A new sound source from the 1976 North American tour with the Jan Hammer Group that recently appeared on the internet. Completely recorded 77 minutes of high quality audience recording of the San Diego performance on June 13th at the beginning of the tour. It is recorded in high quality sound that gives a sense of the times, but has good freshness, and is a recording disc with such a richness that it would normally be possible to make a press CD. The sound is recorded thickly and has an excellent direct feel. The first four songs of the Jan Hammer Group are almost perfect recordings, but after Jeff joined You Know What I Mean and Scatterbrain, there was some distortion and muddyness in the low range, and the sound was unclear in that part. That can be said to be a weakness. Still, the quality is excellent for a secret recording from the 70s, and as mentioned above, the freshness of the sound that comes from Gene's youth is wonderful, and since it has been recorded completely for this long, it is definitely a must-listen for fans. I can definitely say that it is a must-have. Jeff's lively play during this period was wonderful, and you can hear his rhythmic performance along with the band's groovy performance at various places. The tape change occurs between songs before Earth, so you can enjoy the performance itself without cuts. At this point, the excessive bass will calm down and there will be less distortion, allowing you to concentrate on the sound comfortably and stress-free. It's really wonderful to be able to hear a full set that includes numbers such as Earth, Full Moon Boogie, and Sophie, which are unique to this period, with such excellent sound. The direct and full scale sound centered on the low range is the best. You can hear the metal cymbals, percussion, etc. clearly without being buried in the sound, and you can see how fresh the original sound source is and there is no sound drop. Diamond Dust's beautiful guitar sound, full of direct feeling, is also exquisite. Live at Golden Hall Community Concourse, San Diego, CA. USA 13th June 1976 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(77:35) 1.
