The 1975 Japan tour began with an unprecedented upheaval in Jeff's history of coming to Japan. To commemorate the birth of "SAPPORO 1975," which revived the first day with the finest sound, we present the Hawaii performance just before coming to Japan. This work is an audience album containing the "Honolulu performance on July 30, 1975." Jeff caught a cold on July 26 in New Orleans, and the next performance in Atlanta on July 28 was canceled. This Honolulu performance was a stage that was forced even though Jeff was trying to recover his health, and it has been thought for many years that "it must have been a very tough live performance." This work overturns such a semi-established perception. This was the first recording to be released as "IN HAWAII 1975", and the clear and vivid sound that was directly converted to CD from the original master (a recording made by a Japanese student who participated in a summer training program in Hawaii!) became a big topic, but the live performance itself that was engraved with that sound was also amazing. A superb performance that can be said to be the best among the many recordings from the "BLOW BY BLOW" era came out. The Sapporo performance was also a great performance, but in terms of tension, this work is better. The guitar is crisp and sharp, starting from the opening "Constipated Duck", which was not performed in Sapporo. Each note is sharp, and even the picking nuances are played with a sound that conveys the country's name. I can't believe that this is the sound played by a person suffering from poor health... In addition, a full set of "Power", "Got The Feeling", and "Diamond Dust/Jeff's Jam", which were not performed in Sapporo, are also performed in abundance. In particular, the Stanley Clarke cover "Power" and "Jeff's Jam" are precious takes that were only performed on this tour. The sound and performance are great, but in this work, the original cassette is recorded with the original sound, with good treble sharpness, just as it was absorbed on the spot. Jeff's health deteriorated in exchange for such a passionate performance. This is a masterpiece that captures his exhausting performance with the best clear sound. It is also the best live album.
