A must-have for fans is now available, a complete recording of the San Diego performance on September 6th, a high-quality audience recording of the famous sound source from the beginning of the 1980 "There And Back" tour. This is a familiar performance from the already released version "Jeff's Gear" that was distributed in the past, but that one had a semitone higher pitch and the sound quality was good, but it had the drawback of being difficult to listen to. Also, due to the equalization at the time, the bass and treble were raised excessively, which did not seem to suit the current master-oriented taste. The master version that can be heard on this board has excellent content that shrugs off the negative reviews about this master. First of all, since the pitch is recorded accurately, it would be impossible to record it on one 80-minute disc, so it is made into a two-disc set. Also, compared to previous releases, it is nice to be able to listen to it with a more natural and correct tone and texture. As a cassette recording made by the audience at the time, the sound quality and separation are excellent, and you can enjoy the early stage of the 1980 North American tour with realistic and clear sound. Originally, the sound around the beginning of Star Cycle was not good, and after the second song, the sound quality changed to excellent, but this take brings Star Cycle closer to the sound after that, to the extent that it doesn't feel strange, so you can listen to it all at once without stress. The sound has been adjusted. (However, the cut at Diamond Dust 6:45, which was heard in the previous release, is the same.) As you listen further, the definitive version of the 1980 San Diego performance that is sure to make you say, “This recording is amazing!” is now available.
