The performance in Southampton on February 20, 2006 was recorded with a superb audience recording. See You is an instrumental rock masterpiece that beautifully blends elegant melodies, voicings, and jazz and rock spirits. Hocus Pocus is an irresistible piece of thrilling heat from the four of them. Cohen's dramatic solo and Tommy's backing (with their exquisite use of the off-beat bass notes) create an outstanding groove. There are so many things to listen to, and it's rare to experience such an overwhelming ensemble with such constant tension anywhere else. A must-listen is Urban String, which is no exaggeration to say that it embodies all the charm of this band. Not only the quality of the songs, but the 14 minutes of interplay (such as a razor-sharp drum solo with a looping rhythm machine) will give you goosebumps. This is the ultimate Jan Ackermann Band item, where you can enjoy a tight ensemble, wild jams, and an ideally constructed group of songs.
