In the late 2000s, James Taylor was pursuing activities that summed up his career, such as cover collections and collaborative projects. Introducing the super best professional shot accompanied by the luxurious band "BAND OF LEGENDS". This work was filmed at the "Rotterdam performance on July 11, 2009." This is a multi-camera professional shot taken when I performed at the Dutch music festival "NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL". James' coupling tour with Carole King about 10 years ago is also memorable, but that was in 2010. This work was part of a solo tour that took place the previous year. First of all, let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show. ・January 18th + February 2nd: Promo appearance [April 7th: EP “OTHER COVERS” released] ・April 23rd – May 16th: North America #1 (15 performances) ・June 27th – 8th August 2nd: Europe (23 performances) ←★Here★・August 28th - September 21st: North America #2 (12 performances)・October 29th: Performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony This is James Taylor in 2009 . Their only release was the EP sequel to ``COVERS,'' which reached number 4 in the United States, and after that they went on a two-tour North American tour and a world tour visiting summer festivals in Europe. Under such circumstances, the Rotterdam performance of this work was the 10th concert in the middle of the “European” tour. “NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL” is a famous festival representing the Netherlands, and the event was photographed using professional shots. It was broadcast on the famous program "CULTURA 24 (currently NPO 2 EXTRA)" of NPS, the Dutch public broadcaster NHK. This work is a superb product that was converted directly to DVD from the digital master. In fact, the quality of this work is completely official grade. This is natural since digital broadcasting was converted to DVD without any deterioration, but it is still beautiful. Not only high resolution, but also lighting that elegantly brings out the subtleties of famous songs, camera work that perfectly captures the members of a large family, sound and mix that could be made into an official live album... Superb professional shots that are perfect in every way. That's it. What is depicted with such quality is a treasure trove of masterpieces that will truly become a ``best moving album.'' Speaking of the late 2000s, there is also an official video work “LIVE IN MASSACHUSETTS”, but the sets are similar but different. Let's compare and organize.・JAMES TAYLOR (2 songs): Something In The Way She Moves/Carolina in My Mind ・SWEET BABY JAMES (4 songs): Country Road/Sweet Baby James/Fire and Rain/Steamroller Blues ・MUD SLIDE SLIM (1 song): You've Got a Friend・GORILLA (1 song): Mexico (★)・IN THE POCKET (1 song): Shower the People・JT (1 song): Your Smiling Face (★)・FLAG (1 song): Up on the Roof (★)・THAT'S WHY I'M HERE (1 song): Everyday (★)・NEW MOON SHINE (2 songs): (I've Got To) Stop Thinkin' 'Bout That (★)/Shed A Little Light (★)・Other (2 songs): Wichita Lineman (★) / Whiskey Before Breakfast (★) *Note: Songs marked with a “★” cannot be seen in the official video “LIVE IN MASSACHUSETTS”. ...and it looks like this. Half of the 16 songs performed in this work are different from "LIVE IN MASSACHUSETTS", but even more are ensemble songs. “LIVE IN MASSACHUSETTS” had a very simple composition with just James playing and singing along with the piano, but this work is a gorgeous show with a nine-piece formation accompanied by “BAND OF LEGENDS”. Of course, the taste of simple playing is good, but this work is extremely dynamic. In addition to the basic rock band, the ensemble is diverse, including Andrea Zorn's fiddle and chorus, and the dramaticism has increased several times. And the performance is also skillful. The performance, featuring a lineup of studio masters such as Michael Landau, Jimmie Johnson, Steve Gadd, and Larry Goldings, is impregnable, and even if you pay attention to each casual phrase, it has a good taste. It is truly a masterful show that is perfect for “the best album to see with your eyes.” You can fully immerse yourself in the masterpieces left behind by the genius songwriter for approximately 75 minutes with fully official multi-camera professional shots. There's no way this could be a bad thing. Not only is this work itself a masterpiece of outstanding music video, but it is also great to see as a full band version of the official work "LIVE IN MASSACHUSETTS". A truly unavoidable piece.
