This is a complete recording of a show held in Boston on December 18, 1977, during JB's Funky President days, taken from a stereo soundboard recording that was recently unearthed and aired. First of all, with the disco boom at the time, sales were sluggish and his popularity was on the decline. Ironically, Brown's sound was an original dance music, but it was a difficult time in that he was unable to ride the disco boom. Surprisingly, there are few live recordings from this period in the 1970s. Nevertheless, the show includes hits such as "Get Up Offa That Thing" released the previous year and "Kiss In 77" from "Bodyheat" this year, as well as a series of killer tunes from the 1960s, making for a spectacular, dynamite performance worthy of the name "Funky President". 01.
