James Brown in 1983, on the eve of his comeback with "Unity" and "Living in America." A shocking new excavation shot capturing the moment has been announced. This work features a one-camera pro shot from the Miami performance on October 30, 1983, taken at a free concert held the month after the release of his album "BRING IT ON!" This footage is the latest, most talked-about footage. It was suddenly released without any prior notice, and its origins and content are full of controversy. This ultra-realistic one-camera pro shot was filmed without permission. First, its origin. I mentioned the "free concert" earlier, but the venue itself was a flea market, a special performance held on an outdoor stage set up in a parking lot. It was not JB or a TV station that attempted to film the event, but rather the event organizers. They hired a cameraman and filmed without permission. This process is evident in the quality of the footage. There's no multi-camera switching like in a typical pro shot, just a single camera. There's no sign of a pre-camera test, with the band occasionally straying from the frame or a close-up shot of the event sign. It's clear to see an uninformed cameraman filming on the fly. Meanwhile, it's on a completely different level from audience shots. The stunning image quality is clearly a result of a professional camera, and standing alongside JB and the band on stage, the view of the audience, with a barrage of close-up shots, is impossible. And best of all, the soundboard audio is superb. While clearly a direct-from-the-mix-table experience, there's no cheering or ambiance. You can fully enjoy the dynamic live performance, with a sense of complete synchronization, a sense of complete synchronization. This newly discovered footage also shocks with a documentary feel of JB's interruption. While this footage is incredibly shocking, what's even more shocking is the content. The stage is divided into two parts, with the backing band playing alone for the first 23 minutes (until "Jump To It"). Afterwards, the master appeared with "Star Time" playing in the background and launched into a sizzling performance of "Rapp Payback." For the next 27 minutes, we enjoyed a funky paradise under the blue sky, but it suddenly ended. The stage itself was thriving with their signature song, "It's a Man's Man's Man's World," but the cameraman put the camera down and filming ended. The cause of the interruption has yet to be determined, but it's likely JB's direction. As mentioned above, this filming was the event organizer's voluntary act, and JB did not permit it. Just before the interruption, JB had left the stage to change costumes, and it seems he instructed the camera crew to stop filming. The intimate experience of seeing 50-year-old JB in action, the strange atmosphere of a free event unlike a hall concert, the combination of ultra-high definition and a handmade feel, the live audio from the superb soundboard, and the sudden sense of trouble that ended... truly "shocking." This is a stunningly impactful album, both musically and documentarily, featuring Jimmy Nolen's performance, who would pass away suddenly two months later from a heart attack. This newly unearthed pro shot, filmed without permission by the event organizers at an outdoor flea market performance, combines exquisite quality with a handcrafted feel, and the documentary feel of the film being halted due to JB's complaint is also striking.
