THE JAM made a breakthrough in the late 1970s with the masterpiece "ALL MOD CONS". Here is a soundboard album that will let you hear the live performance in your brain. This work was recorded at the "April 12, 1979 Boston performance". This is a stereo soundboard recording. 1979 was the time when the "ALL MOD CONS Tour" and "SETTING SONS Tour" switched depending on the timing. First, let's take a look at the overview of their activities at that time and check the position of this work. 1978 ・February 13th-March 2nd: Europe #1 (8 shows) ・March 16th-April 16th: North America #1 (23 shows) ・June 1st-18th: UK #1 (6 shows) ・July 30th-August 25th: Europe #2 (8 shows) ・October 20th-November 2nd: UK #2a (4 shows) 《November 3rd "ALL MOD CONS" released》 ・November 3rd-December 21st: UK #2b (19 shows) 1979 ・February 16th-March 8th: Europe #3 (10 shows) ←※Official READING ・April 10th-24th: North America #2 (8 shows) ←★Here★ ・May 4th-June 9th: UK #3 (16 shows) ・November 2nd + 3rd: UK #4a (2 shows) 《November 16th "SETTING SONS” release》・November 17th-December 29th: UK #4b (28 performances) ←※Official BRIGHTON This is THE JAM in 1978/1979. The Boston performance of this work is one of the scenes of the “ALL MOD CONS Tour”. It was the second concert of “North America #2” (as an aside, THE POLICE also left a masterpiece soundboard at the same venue five days ago. You can enjoy it in “BOSTON 1979 SOUNDBOARD”). Such a show was broadcast on radio and is known as a standard that has produced many existing works, but this work is the highest peak master. Our shop delivers all-time masterpieces under the supervision of overseas Paul Weller researchers, and the soundboard series of THE JAM is especially popular. This work is the latest edition. However, it is not necessarily “the highest peak = official style”. Although it is not certain whether it was broadcast live at the time, the sound characteristics are raw, and the performance sound and singing voice are extremely thick and unprocessed. The "Paradise Theatre" where the event took place is a club with a capacity of just under 1,000 people, but the sense of intimacy, as if they were pushed into a rehearsal room with the other members, is amazing. The enthusiasm of the venue further enhances the sense of closed room. The sound is completely erased by the mix during the performance, but between songs, a huge cheer erupts. The enthusiasm is also compressed in a way that is unique to clubs, and you can experience a sense of synchronization in a different dimension, as if the instruments, the audience, and the three members of THE JAM were all thrown into your brain. What kind of otherworldly sound is depicted is the great performance of the breakthrough era. The set is also full of repertoire unique to the early days, so let's organize it here. All Mod Cons (10 songs)・All Mod Cons/To Be Someone (Didn't We Have A Nice Time)/Billy Hunt/It's Too Bad/Mr. Clean/Strange Town(★)/Down In The Tube Station At Midnight/David Watts/The Place I Love/"A" Bomb On Wardour Street Others (7 songs)・The Modern World: The Modern World/Here Comes The Weekend(*★)/In The Street, Today(*)/Standards(*)・Others: The Butterfly Collector(★)/Away From The Numbers/News Of The World(*)※Note: The mark "*" is a limited edition song that has not been played since this tour. The mark "★" is a song that could not be heard on the official "LIVE AT READING UNIVERSITY 16TH FEBRUARY 1979". ...And so on. In recent years, it has become possible to listen to excavated live albums, but the set is different even compared to "LIVE AT READING UNIVERSITY 16TH FEBRUARY 1979", which is the closest to this work. The repertoire of "THIS IS THE MODERN WORLD", which will no longer be performed after that, is also fresh, but what is most overwhelming is the fierce rush of "ALL MOD CONS" numbers. 10 songs are played on a large board, including "Billy Hunt" from the UK version and "The Butterfly Collector" from the North American version. It is a pleasure soundboard album that plays in your mind, and it is no exaggeration to say that the set and band potential are "live performance version ALL MOD CONS". This is the highest peak master version. A masterpiece of a real soundboard with a natural feeling that only a researcher could know. Stereo soundboard recording of "April 12, 1979 Boston performance". The highest peak master provided by an overseas researcher, with a tremendous sense of rawness and naturalness. The performance and singing voices are extremely thick and unprocessed, and the sense of intimacy is intense, as if the members were pushed into a rehearsal room together. 10 songs from "ALL MOD CONS" are played on the big board, and the "THIS IS THE MODERN WORLD" number, which will not be played after this, is also a pleasure board that pours a delicious special live performance into your brain.
