Michael is super sharp! The Texas performance from the Victory Tour, the only tour of the Jacksons that also includes Jermaine Jackson, has been remastered from the latest tape and recorded on Blu-ray! In addition, live footage from July 1984 when the Victory Tour began and the following August has been compiled and upgraded to 1080P! It also includes the legendary footage of Michael and Prince on the stage of James Brown, who actually has a connection with him (see below)! This is the definitive edition! First, the main part is the Texas performance on July 13, 1984. The image quality is generally good enough to be enjoyed, but there are some unstable parts such as the blurring of the image at the beginning of "Lovely One" and the sound changing from stereo to mono. Jermaine Jackson's second single from his 1980 album "Jermaine," which was played during the first half of the tour, and the hit "You Like Me Don't You," which ranked 13th in the R&B charts, has a refreshing feel reminiscent of Marvin Gaye's "Mercy, Mercy Me." The Jackson 5 medley, which Michael emphasizes is out of fashion, seems to overflow with the spirit of leaving the Jacksons and going solo. His own dancing is also getting better and better as the stage progresses. This video shows Michael's realistic acting (and mysterious dance) when he is attacked by the spider monster. And "Beat It" is definitely the best "Beat It" in Michael's entire history. This is because it features Eddie Van Halen, who has a solo in the original. At the beginning, Eddie screams that the PA and the line are not connected, but the sound comes out immediately, and even before the solo, he plays hard in the song. When Michael calls out "Eddie, Eddie!", he takes a solo, and the power of it is amazing! It surpasses that of the studio song. Anyway, the momentum is different! Eddie appears again, and Michael riles Eddie up and gets him excited, which is very thrilling. "Billie Jean" and the last "Shake Your Body" are great, but "Beat It" is the only song that the famous guitarist Prince would have been jealous of if he had seen it. The Dallas performance on the 14th is also spliced together for 1 minute 24 seconds, and the audio is from the Jacksonville and Buffalo performances (there are also silent parts). Here is an interview with Alan Lees. "We went to see the Jacksons' Victory Tour, Dallas show, Prince wanted to go. But he said he couldn't take Big Chick (Prince's huge bodyguard) with him. Chick was famous at the time, and if Chick was there, people would know that Prince was there. But he took him with him, hiding him in his hood. Prince wanted to go there without contacting Michael, without anyone knowing us. Prince was also wearing a hood, but during the show, Prince looked at me with a sly look, saying, no way, you can't do that! Prince took off Chick's hood. Then we went to a wide area. Oh Prince! We got mobbed. Michael must have been upset because we interrupted the show." The Jacksons only performed in stadiums. Therefore, no matter how famous the princes were, the number of people who were surprised would be widespread, but it would be limited to those around them. I wonder if Michael noticed it. The Dallas performances are shown on July 13th and 14th, and there is also the 15th, which has no footage. It was early in the tour, but Prince probably went to see it because he was curious about what kind of live show it was. There was no scene in either of the two videos where Michael noticed Prince. However, on the 14th, there is a video of the audience suddenly standing up. Maybe that's it. And the Jacksonville performance on July 21st is a good video that mixes shots from the front and the left side of the stage, and although there are some parts where the sound is a little difficult, it is quite enjoyable to watch the performance itself. The MSG performance on August 4th has a lot of text such as time codes, but the image is very good. On August 10th, there is a news narration, but the image is very good, and on the 12th, there is a good shot of "Human Nature" from the front of the stage. And here is the video of Michael and Prince jumping into James Brown's stage. When James Brown calls Michael, at first he gives off the impression that he can't go there, but Michael smiles and shakes hands with the audience as if he has no choice, and heads to the stage. As the two embrace lightly, Michael whispers to JB. This is probably where he tells him, "Prince is here." Then JB quiets down the performance of "There Was A Time," making it easier for Michael to sing. In other words, there was a meeting about Michael performing some kind of performance. Michael scats "I love you" in the slow backing, but the guitar sounds exquisitely in the background, and as soon as Michael shouts "I love you!", the performance changes completely to funk, and he shows off a thrilling dance, a moo-wock, and the performance ends with a bang. To be honest, there is no sense of improvisation. And Prince actually appears after this, but it is edited, and Prince does not appear and JB continues playing. The footage up to this point is a very wonderful shot without a time code. And then the time code will be inserted. The picture quality is also poor and there is some sound loss. But it is an upgraded version of 1080P. Here, JB calls Prince, saying that he heard from Michael that his brother is there, and asks where he is. Then JB laughs loudly. Prince was riding on the shoulders of his bodyguard, Big Chick, Chuck Huntsberry, and heading to the stage. He takes off his gloves to play the guitar on the way. However, the audience who had the gloves throws them back to Prince. Yes, this is Man's World. JB and Michael have known each other for a long time (since Michael was 5 years old), but JB didn't know Prince at that time. And the audience didn't know Prince either. In other words, Prince was in a completely away place. The Godfather asked him to do something, and Prince received a guitar from the band. What Michael couldn't do and Prince could do was play an instrument. There is a theory that Prince didn't expect to be called on stage, but I think he was at least prepared to be called because Michael was there. However, it was not a stage prepared like Michael's. It was a happening that Michael planned and set up for Prince, which almost no one in the venue knew about except Michael. Prince received a pick (he threw away the pick that was attached to the guitar, perhaps because he didn't like it), talked a little with the members, and started playing. A thrilling guitar performance was shown. It was cool. JB was also watching from behind, feeling like he was going to do it. However, it seemed that the audience was not very interested. Prince came to the front of the stage, posed as if he was gathering strength without playing the guitar, played only one note, and then returned the guitar as if he had stopped, and this time took off his jacket and became shirtless. Michael was not the type to like to do this kind of thing. What kind of guy is Prince? This way of stripping off must have been a great appeal to the audience. However, on the other hand, there is a risk that they will hate him. In fact, the cheers were subtle. But from here on, it was different. He performed in front of the great JB, skillfully handling the microphone stand. This is something Michael had never done on stage. It was perfect. Then Prince shouts like an animal, shirtless. Then, with a feeling of wanting to do something, he performs a squirming dance. These were met with mixed reviews, more negative than positive. But it's not an imitation of JB, it's Prince's originality. And Prince uses JB's band, even though he's not one of his own, and the band, including the drums, makes a sound with the number of fingers, which is something JB might have done, so he easily goes ahead with it, thinking he can do it. It's a very unreasonable request, but even so, there's no way he can enjoy the reaction, and it's overwhelmingly difficult for Prince, the hero of the stage. But after doing it a few times, he somehow gets it done. Amazing. Michael has never done these things, or rather, he probably never even thought about doing them. Well, Prince decides that this is good enough, and although it's not the right timing to get applause, he bows and tries to get off the stage. And he grabs the pole to stop himself from falling. However, the pole was not secured in place and fell onto the audience. The venue was in an uproar. In the midst of all this, there was a brief scene of JB himself carrying Prince's clothes. It is said that JB later warned Michael that he couldn't just let it go. It is unclear whether he said this as a comedian or as a musician. Finally, we have an interview with Susan Rogers. "Prince knocked the pole over on stage. He was a complete mess. He would often watch the video of it afterwards." 4th concert,Texas Stadium,Texas,July 13,1984 The Sword In The Stone Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' Things I Do For You Off The Wall Ben / Human Nature Heartbreak Hotel She's Out Of My Life Let's Get Serious You Like Me Don't You Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin' I Want You Back The Love You Save I'll Be There Rock With You Lovely One Working Day And Night Beat It (Feat.
