The "LIVES IN THE BALANCE Tour," known as a treasure trove of famous records even in the 1980s, has released a soundboard album that further enriches that collection. This work was recorded at the "Mountain View Performance on August 22, 1986." It is a stereo soundboard recording. 1986 was once considered a hidden gem of sound sources, but in recent years, the collection has rapidly expanded. Now, the soundboard/pro shot market has turned into a plentiful one. To understand the situation, let's start by taking a bird's-eye view of the activities at the time. 1986 (LIVES IN THE BALANCE released on February 18th) March 1st-4th: North America #1 (3 performances) March 15th: Essen performance ←*ROCKPALAST 1986 April 5th: Auckland performance April 13th: Santa Cruz performance May 14th-August 23rd: North America #2 (39 performances) ←★Here★ September 26th-November 7th: Europe (24 performances) ←*HAMBURG 1986 November 22nd-December 5th: Australia (5 performances) 1987 January 23rd+26th: Japan (2 performances) March 8th-10th: North America #3 (3 performances) December 6th: Stockholm performance This is Jackson Browne in 1986/1987. Not only the classic pro shot "ROCKPALAST 1986" but also the masterpiece "HAMBURG 1986 SOUNDBOARD" was unearthed. While both were European recordings, this Mountain View performance was the 38th performance of the main leg, "North America #2." The other day, "SARATOGA SPRINGS 1986 SOUNDBOARD" was also very well received, but it was two months later (26 performances later). This show was broadcast on Westwood One's popular program "IN CONCERT" and has produced numerous previously released groups. This work was digitized from that best master. In fact, the sound is superb. Recently, the new master of the rebroadcast version has been a hot topic, but the quality is completely unmatched. Every note is fresh, crisp, and vivid, with no cloudiness or turbidity whatsoever. While the recording has a slight '80s FM feel, it is more than up to par for an official release. It could be described as "unearthed official quality." This official sound is a full show that's similar but not identical to the highly acclaimed "SARATOGA SPRINGS 1986 SOUNDBOARD." Here, let's compare the full set. Lives in the Balance (6 songs): In the Shape of a Heart / Soldier of Plenty (★) / Black and White / Lives in the Balance / Lawless Avenues (★) / For America (Others: 2 songs + 5 songs): Love's Messenger: Downtown / For A Rocker (Others: Boulevard / For Everyman / Late For The Sky / Doctor, My Eyes / Somebody's Baby (★★) / I Am A Patriot (★★) *Note: "★" indicates songs not available on the most recent live album, "SARATOGA SPRINGS 1986 SOUNDBOARD." In particular, the "★★" marks are songs that were not even included on the pro-shot masterpiece "ROCKPALAST 1986." ...And so on. The final number, "I Am A Patriot," which was missing from the aforementioned rebroadcast version, is also included. The set is also different from the press masterpiece "HAMBURG 1986 SOUNDBOARD," and "Downtown," which cannot be heard there, is also featured. This song is a delicious repertoire that will no longer be performed after this tour. Jackson Browne in 1986 opened a new chapter with politically charged lyrics and synthesizers. This is the highest peak master of soundboard albums that will pour that live performance into your brain. Along with "HAMBURG 1986 SOUNDBOARD" and "SARATOGA SPRINGS 1986," this masterpiece forms one of the "Three Great Soundboards of the LIVES IN THE BALANCE Tour." It is a stereo soundboard recording of the "Mountain View Performance on August 22, 1986." This masterpiece, digitized from the official best master, includes the masterpieces of "LIVES IN THE BALANCE" and rare songs such as "Somebody's Baby" and "I Am A Patriot." Along with "HAMBURG 1986 SOUNDBOARD" and "SARATOGA SPRINGS 1986," this masterpiece forms one of the "three major soundboards of the LIVES IN THE BALANCE Tour."
