“WORLD PIECE TOUR 1983” is loved by enthusiasts. A big live set featuring the best masters from each country is now available! IRON MAIDEN is a band that leaves long professional shots and soundboards on most tours, but this tour can be said to be an exception. Therefore, to experience the entire live performance, you have to rely on audience recording. Among them, the “two great pinnacles” are the Ipswitch performance and the Hammersmith performance. The former was released on CD as "EAGLE'S NEST" and the latter as "EAGLE'S HAMMERSMITH". However, both of those tours were in their home country of England. Of course, these two are definitely the live albums you want to listen to first, but that alone won't bring you closer to the truth of IRON MAIDEN, which is full of momentum and is "currently conquering the world." Therefore, this work appeared. We have carefully selected the best masters from each country from recordings reported from all over the world, and created one that approaches the entire picture of "WORLD PIECE TOUR 1983" that toured the world for a long time. First, let's take a quick look at the 1983 tour schedule. ・May 2nd - May 28th, 1983: UK tour (22 performances) ・June 1st - June 12th, 1983: Scandinavian tour (7 shows) ・June 21st - October 24th, 1983 : North American tour (81 performances) November 7th - December 18th, 1983: European tour (28 performances) In addition to this, there is one warm-up gig in Germany, but these four parts are roughly the same. The 138 performances are an overview of “WORLD PIECE TOUR 1983”. As I mentioned earlier, the two CDs for the “UK tour” are “EAGLE’S NEST” and “EAGLE’S HAMMERSMITH”. On the other hand, this work is a 6-disc set that includes a total of 3 performances, one master from each of the ``Nordic Tour'', ``North American Tour'', and ``European Tour'' that enthusiasts have praised as ``best!''. Now, let's introduce each performance... [Nordic tour: Stockholm performance on June 5th] The Northern European tour was held immediately after the home UK tour. This work starts from the Stockholm performance, which is the best recording. However, this is suddenly a maniac sound source. No, the sound is the best audience recording, and in terms of quality, it is clear enough even for beginners. There are some needle cracks in the masters that are available on the internet, but this work has no such defects and you can fully enjoy the beautiful original sound of the recording. So what is maniac? That's the content of the live show. Actually, Bruce Dickinson was not feeling well, and perhaps he had caught a cold, so he couldn't really hit the high tones. When I write this, I think you might imagine a live show that suffers from high notes that don't come out as "hee hee", but it's completely different. The Gothenburg performance two days ago was like that, but on this day, they gave up on the high notes from the beginning and improvised and faked the mid-low melodies. What's strange is that the mid-bass sounds well, and the fanning is very energetic. As a result, the live performance is like a different melody version of a familiar masterpiece. Despite Blues' poor performance, the Stockholm audience was very excited. Bruce is also grateful to be in such an audience, and repeats "You guys are the best!" throughout, making the audience even more excited. Even when “Run To The Hills” doesn’t hit the high notes at all, loud cheers sing and sing! Sing!! Furthermore, this day also marks the birth of Nico McBrain, and you can hear the entire venue singing "Happy Birthday." Even if I'm wrong, I can't say it's the "best live performance", but the clear sound makes it interesting because it's not in good shape. “A live performance is something that is created by the band and the audience,” and it is a great sound source that allows you to realize that. [North American tour: Chicago performance on September 30th] Next is a live show across the ocean in America. This is the biggest feature sound source of this work! Of course, the blues has long since recovered, so you can enjoy the live show, but even more so, the sound is amazing! This Chicago performance is also traded as a “sound board sound source” like the Ipswitch performance and Hammersmith performance, and is definitely a “1983 Big 3 recording”. You can enjoy plenty of live performances that try to conquer America with perfect sound quality. The American live performance with such a sound is also wonderful. It's a pity that the short set of "Still Life" and "Phantom Of The Opera" was cut around here, but the show has been shaped up accordingly, and Bruce's vocals are even more exciting. It is an impression that it has taken a step forward from the early scented UK tour to the world of “LIVE AFTER DEATH”. Unlike the UK/Europe, which has continued to support us over a long history, this is a passionate sound source with an "aggressive" live performance. [European tour: November 19th Clermont-Ferrand performance] The final performance will be a live performance in Clermont-Ferrand (France) after returning to Europe. Although it is a bit different from the Chicago performance, it is also an audience recording with a wonderful sound. It is hard to notice because the two famous recordings "Ipswitch performance and Hammersmith performance" are so shining, but this "WORLD PIECE TOUR 1983" has many powerful recordings compared to the previous and subsequent tours. A treasure trove of audiences. Among them, the clear sound of the selected master is truly wonderful, as it is highly praised as "Europe's best". Although the core of the musical tone is solid like a sound board, it is a wonderful recording that is full of the vividness of an audience recording. Moreover, the triumphant mood that sent "Flight Of Icarus" into the top 10 of the charts and conquered the United States is wonderful. Although it is not as polite as the early dates of the UK tour, it is a dynamic performance born of overflowing confidence and a sense of fulfillment. Furthermore, Bruce's French MC is also interesting. I don't know much about the meaning of French, but it's refreshing to hear people shouting so loudly with unfamiliar sounds. Previous world tours had a strong sense of "going to see the world," but this "WORLD PIECE TOUR 1983" finally produced a hit in North America, and the ambition to truly conquer the world was burning. It's crowded. Why is this time the heyday? Why does “WORLD PIECE TOUR 1983” continue to be loved by enthusiasts? A big world travel album that tells the answer more eloquently than a thousand words.
