IRON MAIDEN has left behind a long history of cover songs. A compilation album of the original artist versions will be released. This work contains 21 famous songs that have colored rock history. Although IRON MAIDEN is a band that emphasizes original songs, they have also performed covers on single B-sides. This work is a two-disc set that compiles these great masterpieces in the original artist versions. The songs are in the order that IRON MAIDEN covered them. In our shop, we collect the MAIDEN versions in masterpieces such as "ULTIMATE STUDIO WORKS: BRUCE DICKINSON YEARS 1982-2022 (Zodiac 675)", so it would be interesting to listen and compare them. DISC 1: Original songs covered in the 80s (10 songs) This work is simply divided into discs by the number of songs, but it is also good in terms of time. The first disc contains songs from the Paul Di'Anno era to "The Seventh Prophecy". In other words, these are 10 original songs that were covered in the golden 80s. Starting with SKYHOOKS' "Women In Uniform" is quite exciting, but the album continues with a lineup of 70s rock classics. ZZ TOP's "Tush" and DEEP PURPLE's "Smoke On The Water" were not covered in the studio, but both were performed live. "Tush" was performed at the Reading Festival in 1982, just after Bruce joined the band, and "Smoke On The Water" was performed in Japan in the same year. Steve Harris' favorite progressive rock band NEKTAR includes "King Of Twilight" as well as "Crying In The Dark". The MAIDEN version is credited only as "King Of Twilight", but in fact these two songs are connected by a medley arrangement. This album includes the original versions of both songs. Incidentally, it is also known that the rhythm pattern of "King Of Twilight" was used for "Childhood's End". Also, FM's "That Girl" is a song written by Andy Burnett, who participated in Adrian's side project, and was not released on FM at the time, but was released by both FM and IRON MAIDEN in 1986. MAIDEN also covered MARSHALL FURY's "Juanita" during this period, but since the original version does not exist, it is not included in this album. DISC 2: Original songs covered after the 90s (11 songs) DISC 2 is from the 90s onwards. In other words, it is the original version of songs covered after "NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING". While there are still some cool selections such as STRAY and GOLDEN EARRING from the Netherlands, many super famous songs such as FREE, LED ZEPPELIN, Chuck Berry, and THE WHO have been covered. The most familiar of these is probably UFO's "Doctor Doctor." It's still a classic that is always played before a live show. It was covered for the B-side of a single during the Blaze Bayley era, so it's included at the end of the album, but it's a very important song that should have been the first song on DISC 1. After Dickinson returned, the number of covers decreased dramatically. The only ones he covered were FOCUS's "Hocus Pocus" and DEEP PURPLE's "Space Truckin'," which were recorded during the "Senki" era. In fact, he also covered "Tush" and THIN LIZZY's "Angel Of Death" during this session, but they are still unreleased and not included in this work (THIN LIZZY is their staple, and they also played "Jailbreak" and "Rosalie" before their debut and as a side project). "ULTIMATE STUDIO WORKS: BRUCE DICKINSON YEARS 1982-2022" includes a "Cover Album" disc that collects MAIDEN versions, but this work is also the original version. It's interesting to compare it with the famous MAIDEN version, and it's also interesting to dig deeper into their roots. Above all, this is a classic rock masterpiece compilation that is fun to listen to even when you just play it. A two-disc set that can be enjoyed in any way. A masterpiece compilation related to IRON MAIDEN has been released. This two-disc set collects the original versions of the famous songs they have covered, and is fun to compare with the cover disc of the famous album "ULTIMATE STUDIO WORKS".
